Re: giga-byte GA-945GCM-S2L mobo

Having used the Big Typhoon before, I know that the design might seem iffy but I haven't heard of anyone who had anything bad to say once it was installed

Re: AMD & ATI 2010 Is It The Year?

Well I don't see them becoming "better" in the sense of pure, raw power but we can all agree that price/performance is still very much in AMD/ATI's favor. I think people often overlook how friendly AMD is to business users, not just the enthusiast community. They cost less than Intel, they introduce...

I wouldn't, it could easily melt to the bottom of the board after continued use. Which cooler did you end up going with?

Re: What are you folding on?

After looking around, I just think its a lower score because of drivers not really because of the card, although I will be running some further stress tests to verify full functionality http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=20789/

Re: What are you folding on?

Well 2/3 of my PPD is down the toilet, installation of the gpu2 client refuses to work on the personal rig anymore, and my GTS seems to be a bit less valiant with overclocking on a lesser quality power supply x.x

Re: Which RAM for i7 build?

If you've already read some reviews, I'd go with the set that runs the coolest since you plan on overclocking. Comparing the three sets, I really don't see much difference between them, so no matter which you choose you should be fine! When I built my pc first, I used a Micron-D9-based Mushkin kit a...

Re: buy now or wait - 9600gt or radeon 5670

In my experience its better to do one of two things:
1. Wait until you've saved enough for a really decent card (9800GT or better)
2. Just buy what you can afford now and don't look back

Either way you'll end up with a much better graphics solution than what you have currently!

Re: What are you folding on?

Personal Rig is in signature, except the 8800GTS 512 is now in the family PC, and a 9800GX2 is in my box now even though I can't seem to get the second instance of the gpu client up :/ My family's PC is running a single-threaded CPU client and the GPU2 client on my old 8800GTS 512. I have a buddy wh...

Re: help setting up a 9800GX2

Yep I went through your walkthrough and found that I've already got everything set up that way, I really don't get it. My desktop is extended via dummy plug to a 'generic non PnP monitor" set to the lowest res possible. I really don't understand why I'm having this problem. Do I have to set core aff...
