Re: ** Official 2009 [email protected] WAR Competition Thread **

I'll say my piece once: this type of contest is by nature unbalanced, but the LR staff has been more than gracious and fair to all of us contestants. You signed up for the contest knowing what kind of PPD you could put out and knew that others would be able to put out a lot more. In my case my PPD w...

Re: help setting up a 9800GX2

Did you set different machine ID's in the "configure" tab? :drinkers: Yep. Didn't want to go find out what the other machines IDs were so I set GPU1 to Machine ID 15 and GPU2 to 16. you have a monitor hooked up on both PCB's right? Yep, got a working dummy plug made from a dvi-i to vga with 100ohm ...

help setting up a 9800GX2

Okay so I've got a 9800GX2 to fold on, and I took every cautious measure to make sure I followed the instructions from stanford to the letter. I have a dummy plug installed on my secondary output, set the multi gpu mode to single, and I'm assuming my desktop is extended because I lose my mouse point...

Re: Comparison Help

I don't like to post out but Anandtech is widely read here too, so MultiSync, give this article a read, it only takes about 15-20 min and you'll know what to look for and possibly what model too http://www.anandtech.com/guides/showdoc.aspx?i=3685

Re: ** Official 2009 [email protected] WAR Competition Thread **

Setting up a 9800GX2 for folding requires that you either have a monitor plugged into the second video out, which in my case is DVI-I, or you need a dummy plug to fake out the nvidia control panel. Basically it has to think you have an extended desktop and this is honestly the easiest way to do it :...

Re: ** Official 2009 [email protected] WAR Competition Thread **

Anybody out there know how to make the DVI->VGA terminator plug/dummy plug?
I just need a diagram since the one linked to here doesn't work anymore

Edit: #-o I glossed over the pin configuration in the original thread. The upshot is if anyone here needs to know how to make one just ask!

How is Team F in the lead with one less folder? Or is Billabong_69 the Atom folder? You all are just lucky its been a busy week where I work. We have ~250 GHz worth of spare processing power from all the servers we accommodate... but all the people to give the yay or nay for [email protected] are either unreacha...

Re: Your all time favorite song

You'd have to give me a genre to get an "all-time favorite" out of me lol

I got an 80Gb Ipod with Rockbox on it and it's been filled since day 1 with all sorts of music
Aaaand it gets updated at least 2-3 times a week with new stuff

Well Pingspike, I found the forums a few years ago when I was looking for a place to tell me if an Ibuypower rig would be right for me. The guys here stopped me from paying too much and got me into the whole enthusiast "thing" Now 3 years later, I'm glad I found LR. I literally owe the guys here my ...
