Re: CPU Cooler Round Up - Intel Quad Core Tested

Great review (as ever), but I'm slightly saddened that you didn't borrow Brian's U120x to compare the rest of the coolers to (but mostly the Noctua). Even though the NF-P12's (the Noctua fans) are awful colours, I have kitted my rig out with them as they are so quiet. I'm thinking about going ghett...

Re: Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor QX9650 Review

Nice review there... when you state you ran out of time for oc'ing does that mean the cpu has moved onto elsewhere or just out of time for scheduled review publishing date ?? Would love to see more in the way of overclocking results as there's a big discrepancy between what a few reviews have pushed...

I gotta get back into this, I've had my rig down for months now and I've also got a new apogee block and 6GB of D9's sitting here, all untested 8-[ most likely Asus X38s but yet to receive any heh Eva, Tried any 8-8-8-24 testing? Just got a 2GB 160...

Re: 2GB Super Talent 1866Mhz DDR3Memory Kit - First Experience

Looks like some Micron DDR3 just don't like to scale with vdimm voltage and like a certain sweet spot. Would be interesting to know the subtimings Super Talent used to validate this DDR3-1866 kit with :) I noticed some DDR3 modules when on Asus P35 DDR3 boards if their sub timings are set to AUTO an...

Crucial Ballistix DDR3-1600 / PC3-12800 in OZ

Thanks to ExtremePC.com.au for lending me a 2GB kit of Crucial Ballistix PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 memory modules to test out :) Typical Crucial conservative memory rating scheme :) Specs: 2GB kit (1GBx2) Ballistix 240-pin DIMM DDR3 PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 8-8-8-20 at 1.8v Unbuffered NON-ECC 128Meg x 64 Some ...

Re: 2GB Super Talent 1866Mhz DDR3Memory Kit - First Experience

I did just hear back from Super Talent and found out some interesting stuff... We test the 1866 kits on Asus P5K3 Deluxe with Mem86 for about 30 minutes. We don’t currently use RST Pro in our DDR3 production testing. Seems Super Talent doesn't do any other testing than some Mem86, which doesn't cat...

Re: Fall IDF 2007 - Intel DX38BT 'BoneTrail' Motherboard Preview

thanks for the info .. particularly about the way 1T/2T has been implemented on this board!

Hopefully, Intel changes the option to allow full control over 1T/2T setting :)
