Yeah but they can do that in a normal building too, and then they wouldn't have to worry about figuring out how to run the plumbing. I just don't see the point in the whole building rotating, other than bragging rights. That's pretty much what all ground-breaking technology is about, isn't it? I ha...

Conor - I found a problem!

The problem is you could build a perfectly good gaming machine for half of what you'll spend on all that junk - that way you could build two, and give one to me.

I need a USB Nintendo pad.

I have a load of emulators that I run. I have loads of games. Some of them don't translate too well to a keyboard - anyone know where I can get a USB version of the NES, SNES, PS1, and PS2 keypads?

Linux/Partitioning

I want to play around with Linux a bit, if I find it to be useable (for me, I'm not looking for a debate about Vista vs. Linux) I may switch over altogether. So, I have two questions - The first is in two parts - Can I partition a HD w/o formatting or re-installing Vista and how? I should probably m...

Well, I'm not much for the good advice on building. But, as you know (Conor that is,) I have the new laptop from the states and as far as the drives go they;re region non-specific as far as I can tell. I can play some of our other bro's dvd's and also any dvd's from over here. I was told when I aske...

I don't know - American terrestrial radio is way better than crappy Irish radio. In Ireland you don't have stations for certain music preferences - everything is lumped together and you still get loads of ads, moron dj's, and the same 17 songs over and again. In Boston I like WFNX, and even still ch...

It might be a bit late to add to this discussion since it seems to be fixed, but I've noticed that Vista likes to store a lot of temporary garbage. I can run a disk cleanup once a week and get ~2 GB back every time. I also defragged once this month (I've only had the computer a month now) and got 3 ...

Here's an interesting new turn in the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD fight - The porn industry have already backed HD-DVD. My brother works in the film industry (not doing porn, his current job is editing some documentary for the Discovery channel) and graduated UCLA with a Master's degree in film. He tells me that...

I've lived in both the States and Canada, the reason hey get better crap is down to the view of customer service. In Canada, people don't complain as much so companies don't feel it necessary to offer too much. The answer - start moaning at every turn and get everyone else to do it too. It's startin...

This reminds me of the old Betamax vs. VHS battle in the eighties. Betamax apparently was a higher quality format, but it cost more - we all know how that ended.

wtf is that I let it play for like 10minutes and it just repeated itself. Um does that have a point to it? Nope. Someone else did it to me, so I thought I'd share. It's apparently a very popular sing in norway or sweden or somewhere. I also listened to the stupid thing for ages before giving up, yo...

What is up with the Spambots?

There seem to be an inordinate number of these showing up here and on other sites I frequent recently... It's starting to look like a web-wide epidemic.

Ah, here. What age are you? I know we had the demographics thread and all, and I'm slightly to the high side... but seriously - what happened to "The Fall Guy" and "CHiPs?"

Not to mention "He-Man" and "Knight-Rider" in it's first run...

Dang, I'm getting old.
