I would go for vmware too. In fact i have dual boot here and i actually hardly reboot to change from one to another. But then you will have to run your games in vista, since vmware only has partial and experimental support to DirectX and opengl (except if this changed in version 6). If you go the ot...

I'm not really into networking, but what if you used a fixed address that is in the subnet? Or in the advanced options enter the gateway address manually? What about the firewall, could you try with it off?

Totally agree.. I used to have the swap on a different hd on a kinda big partition and 64k alloc size. Since though i upgraded and i could only use one IDE hd i had to rearrange all these. So i moved the swap back to another partition of the hd the os is on... Its definately much slower. I'll change...

I didnt notice any difference either on a 9600. They saved me though on my laptop since it was the only place i could find drivers that support the old Radeon M6.

Even 3Ghz on a C2D its too much for now.. I mean what are you going to do to need so much speed and damage your chip in the long run? Besides power consumption rises alot too. It's better to leave high overclocking for a few years, when it will be really needed. Anyway, you could always uses an OC t...

Why dont you try to run memtest and see if you get any errors... Try another power supply if you can too (maybe one from a friend's pc).
By the way whats your hardware and psu wattage?

Goodmorning (here :p) and thank you everyone! Not much luck with overclocking with this motherboard, I tried my best but its a shot in the dark. Either g965 chipset is very picky or the bios pretty bad! hehe. Imagine that even setting the voltage on vcore (and mhc i think too) to anything than auto ...

I had the same problem with RC1. Uninstall divx and install ffdshow. It worked for me in RC2 (didnt try it on rc1). If aero doesnt turn back on even after uninstalling divx go to problem and error reports and delete the report on Divx.
Well these could be outdated since i still use the RC version.

the site states 15-25. Depending on the size of the core. So bet around 20 if you put a little extra :)

mine has done more than 10 i think and its bit less than half. If you dont build pcs regurarly it will last you for a long time.
