No G45 until Sept???

I was searching G45 boards online and the only release date I could find was 3 September on an E-tailers website as an "In stock after" date. Has anybody heard anything different recently? I've read that its been delayed because of problems with the integrated graphics, which not planning on using a...

Re: Who is Little_Tea_Pot

Yes I know.. my GPU client got stuck last night, it folds fine all day but something is going on at night that makes it stop working. I restarted the client and everything seems to be working fine again. [12:34:29] + Attempting to send results [12:35:03] + Results successfully sent [12:35:03] Thank ...

Re: Who is Little_Tea_Pot

I uninstalled my GPU and SMP clients today, I reinstalled the SPM client no problem. This time I only disabled UAC first and everything installed and is running fine so far (vista64bit). My XP machine is still folding away just fine with the 8800GTS, albit the CPU is pegged at 100% trying to run it....

Re: Who is Little_Tea_Pot

My Vista GPU client (3870) threw a fit the other night while I was sleeping, it kept downloading WU's and then erroring out. It did that once before, this time it made me miss out on about eight hours of work ](*,) My XP client (8800GTS OC) has been running just fine, leaves my old P4 3.4 peged at 1...

Re: Who is Little_Tea_Pot

I'm not sure if you really need to run it in XP compatability mode but whenever I'm having a hard time with a program I always try it... worth a shot eh?

Re: Who is Little_Tea_Pot

The desktop WU's keep failing on download, my GPU client seems fine. I'm going to reinstall the desktop client tonight. I've tried to instal the SMP client but its being a little tricky. If anybody has some pointers for installing Vista Ultimate 64 I'd really like to get my 9450 going full steam. I'...

Re: Just got a new Sound Card. Have questions about the optical

Looks like you need either a mini toss link to toss link cable or adapter. Just a quick search thru Crutchfield... I'm sure you can find them anywhere. http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?search=mini+toss+link&i=158POC20AP TigerDirect http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchT...

Re: Thermaltake DuOrb CPU Cooler

I have an Xpack2 with a Blue Orb 2 and the hight is a tight fit @ 66mm I'm not sure if the DuOrb will fit @ 86mm.

*edit* It will fit up to 76mm hight according to Apevia's manual. (On the last couple of pages)

Re: RAM Voltage: 1.8 to 2.0 Volts versus 2.2 Volts

Thanks for your help, I think I've tripled my RAM knowledge in the last two days. I already choose a processor...(E6750) I'm going to look for a different G33 based mATX board from one of Intels board partners, they should be alot more flexable.

Intel G33 uATX bios questions

On Intel boxed MB's like the DG33BU are you able to adjust voltages and timings in the BIOS or are you stuck with what the board is set at? I'm not looking to overclock a whole lot, just increase the RAM voltage from 1.8 to 2.1 for better performing RAM.

Re: RAM Voltage: 1.8 to 2.0 Volts versus 2.2 Volts

I was comparing Twin2x2048-6400C5DHX with TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX on Corsairs web site; http://www.corsairmicro.com/products/xms2_dhx.aspx They both state JEDEC 5-5-5-18 @800 The C5 states 1.8v at 5-5-5-18 and the C4 has 2.1v at 4-4-4-12, so would they both run 1.8v @5-5-5-18 or would the C4 still need...

Re: RAM Voltage: 1.8 to 2.0 Volts versus 2.2 Volts

So basically the Intel boards won't allow you to increase the voltage so either buy lower speed ram or choose a different board. I'll look into the ram you recomended, I'm not looking to over clock just get the best speed I can out of the box and forget it.

Re: RAM Voltage: 1.8 to 2.0 Volts versus 2.2 Volts

SO how important is it to match the RAM's voltage with the Voltage on the motherboard?? Say the RAM I want is 2.1V DDR800 4-4-4-12 and the mother board states RAM voltage of 1.8V DDR. I'm wanting to get a Intel G33 uATX board, the spec sheet states ram voltage between 1.8 and 1.9V. It should be OK t...

Re: Intel's Price Reduction on July 22

I was hoping to pick up a E6750 for under $200 this week for my first build, guess I'll wait another week or so for the price to actually drop.
