Re: Crysis, Unreal Tournament 3 See Low Sales Numbers

I'd say more then anything its down to the fact that the game just requires such a good computer to run.

Re: To Build or Buy, that is the Question?

Just make sure you buy decent components and you should be fine build... hell i did it..
also ..buy a heatsink that screws into to backplace for cpu as well.. plastic pin ones suck
(Don't buy a ninja heatsink... never forgive them for being crap...)

Re: Vivendi and Activision to Create Activision Blizzard!

Again, I think EA is so big and have titles that have been around for so long, they don't get the credit they deserve for their original titles. well they used to publish more games then they actually develop.. not sure if that is still the case.. but it is has/was other companies that made the gam...

Crytek no doubt gets paid on a deadline basis.. ie. lose money after a certain point enforced by EA.. therefore rushed project.. personally i feel the blame lies with EA

Re: Favorite FPS

even thought i loved BF2 and BF2142 - EA has really let me down. i think those games could have been so much better- i have this sinking feeling Crysis will be the same. I dont really see the multi player crysis being all that great. EA is the microsoft of the computer games industry these days.. a...

Re: 3D models...

Well i just really need simple models to import to direct x but they need to have a bone structure so they can be animated.. i.e. different parts to an arm with the ability to rotate each part rather then a single big model that you can't do that with... the actual animation sequencing i'm hoping to...

Re: Vista Ultimate 32-bit or stay with XP Pro SP2??

Re: 3d screenshot

no you could not take a screenshot and rotate around in it unless you also captured all the geometry of all the object that exist in the scene... and more then likely the game would be clipping (ie. not showing a lot of these in order to speed up processing)...

so long story short... no

Re: Intel Core 2 Quad Temperature - Please Help

as the man says use core temp rather then speed fan.. basically you might you should maybe (though I am not 100% sure on this even now) be worried if under full load i.e. 2 othos one running on cores 1+2 the other running on core 3+4 for a temperature above 70C.. you might be able to run stable high...
