Video In

Does anyone have a line on a good video capture device? I'd like something that I could directly connect my cable box and video camera up to.

It does if you put it over both their mouth and nose.

Re: In the realm of stupid this guy is king

They should seriously show these videos to high school kids to encourage them to drink responsibly. The first video the guy is drunk and lets himself get shot and in the second one he seems totally reasonable!

Re: Anyone Know Anything About Satellite Phones?

Yeah we are all "waiting" it because it doesn't come out until next year! I have a buddy who is a frequent "contractor" in the Middle East, mostly Afghanistan, and he essentially got himself lo-jacked in case of kidnapping. Something to think about.

Re: How to connect game console to PC than to Monitor?

There is no way to connect a console to your computer and then run them through your video card and sound card. Your best bet, like the guys above said, is to get a switching device for your monitor and speakers.

Re: No budget multimedia/gaming rig build.

As a point of reference I can tell you that I put a Sapphire 4850x2 in my Antec 1200 and with the hard drives installed it just barely fits. The video card you want to use is about the same size as mine I think but your case is a couple inches smaller. You should be ok if you can squeeze your HD in ...

Re: Obama Peace Prize

They're saying that it is an attempt by the Nobel committee to influence Obama by giving him the prize and then expecting him to live up to it. It's like when the Veterans organizations send you personalized labels for your envelopes and then ask for a donation.

Obama Peace Prize

I googled the Wiki of the Nobel Peace Prize to read the history and it has been changed to this: The Nobel Peace Prize (Swedish, Danish and Norwegian: Nobels fredspris) was one of five Nobel Prizes bequeathed by the Swedish industrialist and inventor Alfred Nobel. But as of 2009, the Nobel committee...

Re: quad core help

Binning is the process companies use when sorting different quality chips. For instance the core i720, 740, and 765 all are created using the same process, then after initial testing they sort the chips into different "bins" based on how they tested. The higher quality chips become 765s, which they ...

Re: quad core help

You're pretty much just looking at binning with those three processors. I'd say with only a $35 differance between the lowest binned chip and the highest you might as well go with the q9550 so that you can gaurantee stability and longjevity at your overclock goal. On a side note I kicked ass at play...

Re: The demise of the dollar

Totally agree with the retooling idea. We also need to deal with a lack of skilled labor in the US. There were too many people who pushed/traded paper in what was essentially a fake economy and when that ship sank they were left without a job and with no real practical skill. We also need to develop...
