Re: Antec Kuhler H2O 620 CPU Water Cooler Review
All in one kits are becoming more and more popular as some users want the benefit of water but either don’t want to build a custom loop or have the fear they may assemble it wrong and it leaks all over their system. I had a CoolIt Domino... which leaked all over my system! The hoses that Antec is u...

Re: Parent company of the UFC, Zuffa LLC, purchases Strikefo
I was surprised as well. We'll see if this light a keister fire under Fedor. It looks like Strikeforce will remain a seperate entity for now but will eventually be rolled into UFC. There is speculation about UFC having to get a monopoly exemption and maybe a formation of a fighters' union like other...

Re: Trouble with New Raid Volume
a Raid 5 with 1 TB drives will take some time to initialize, not sure but having the initialize showing in the Intel Storage Manager is normal. you said you have no access to it in Device Manager. Did you right click on Computer and select manage and go to disk management to check the volume? Also,...

Trouble with New Raid Volume
I'm trying to set up a RAID 5 volume using 5 1TB Western Digital hard drives. They are all connected through an ASUS Sabertooth x58. I set the storage configuration in the BIOS to Raid and using the Intel Matrix Storage Manager successfully created a Raid 5 volume. I can see the created volume in th...

Re: Gas Prices
The first post, like most chain e-mails that defy logic, doesn't take into account that oil is an exchanged commodity and its price isn't based on how much one company or another sells but on overall consumption. (or speculation) Here's some tips from an expert though it will only save you maybe a d...

Re: No Input on Windows 7 Restart
Apoptosis wins the Kewpi Doll! After I cleared the CMOS on the motherboard via the jumper my display came back. I was then able to reinstall Windows 7 without any trouble. One interesting side note was something that happened with my RAM. I have 12 GB of RAM using 6 2 GB DIMMS, three of which I purc...

Re: No Input on Windows 7 Restart
To be clear, when I was running the graphics card with Windows Vista there was no problem. It was only when I was doing a fresh install of Windows 7 and the computer rebooted for the first time that I lost the display. I use a 32 inch 1080p tv as my monitor and I tried four of the ports on the card ...

No Input on Windows 7 Restart
Here is my vexing problem: I recently installed a new motherboard and video card, Sabertooth x58 and HIS 6950 2GB respectively, and wanted to do a fresh install of Windows 7 64 bit. The installation was going fine but upon the first computer restart I got a "no input" message on my display...

Re: Apology to Sapphire
could have cited the domino as the problem if you originally listed using one. They all fail (Leak) within a couple months, Just ask knightrid  I thought the same thing when I found out that mine had leaked. I think I even posted how much I liked the Domino on the thread he created about it. I...

Re: Apology to Sapphire
All of the fluid has leaked out so it's a bit hard to tell but I'm guessing that it was probably one of the fittings where the hose is connected to the heat-sink.

Apology to Sapphire
In a previous thread on this forum I slighted Sapphire for not backing up the warranty on their product after they refused to replace my video card that had several resisters explode. While the video card did have failed components, after disassembling my rig in order to install a new motherboard an...

Re: Dead GPU
There's no need to be a jerks about this. This thread should probably be closed before this gets ugly. I agree. Usually people on this forum have better decorum (wow that rhymes!) which is one of the reasons I come here. I have no problem with facts but I can't stand people who are condescending. I...

Re: Dead GPU
http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=sua1500i While I realize that surge protection doesn't start instantaneously APC actually explicitly advertizes surge protection and the model I use is regularly used in industry to protect thousands of dollars in equipment. My Corsair...

Re: Dead GPU
Just got news that Sapphire rejected my warranty claim. Since the end of my connectors were scorched in the pictures I sent they blamed it on a power surge and said since my card was physically damaged that my warranty was void. I have a Corsair TX850 which is hooked up to an APC1500 UPS/surge prote...

Digital antenna suggestions please
Does anyone have a suggestion for a non obtrusive digital antenna? It can't be all that large because of my CC&Rs. I do have two dishes on my house due to previous installs of satellite tv. Is there a reliable method for using those?

Since the motherboard is one of the main things that Vista checks when it loads up am I going to have to do a reinstall when I replace the one that was toasted?

Re: Dead GPU
When I pulled out my video card last night I found that it had fried between the GPU and ASUS P6T Deluxe motherboard. I have a 850TX Corsair PSU so I don't think the problem came from there. Everything lights up on the MB except the scorched parts so I'm hoping that the RAM and CPU are Ok. So now it...
