DDR-3 The Future sooner than later?
Couple weeks back I was reading some obscure article about DDR-3 somewhere. The basic jist of the article was how well DDR-3 is working out. They aren't having all the problems with it like they were with DDR-2 when they first started working on it. Speed looked good and if I recall they can hit 160...

X bit labs had a little bit of info about it in their coverage of IDF. I think its a good idea. Even with cooler running chips in the future, multi cores will still add up the total thermal load. Air will only go so far. Fluid cooling is the next logical step. I don't know what happened in regards t...

I'm curious. Why Mozilla? I use to use Netscape for a lot of years, but once Bill Gates got his hannds on Netscape via the AOL deal, well, most knew where Netscape was headed. Hence some of the old Netscape boys started up the Mozilla foundation. So , I switched to Mozilla. The new Mozilla team then...

Well, I took the whole computer into the shop. They took the HD out and hooked it to another computer but they said there was nothing they could do, the partitions were gone and everything on it was lost. Reformatting was the only option I really wonder what they were thinking. With your issues wit...

Well still don't know what happened, but the hard drive had to be reprogramed with windows. Couldn't save my data either, that sucks. There was no partition left there or something. Basically he said the only way to get it up was new OS reboot. Who told you that? Unless you had a hard drive failure...

I've used Firefox-IE-Netscape-Maxthon-Mozilla and am now trying Opera Used Firefox for last year now. Before that Mozilla, then before that, Netscape. Firefox/Netscape/Mozilla are allmost the same and would be good choices. For the last week, I've been giving Opera a serious workout and so far like ...

Wow! Intel has come a long way in a short time. Conroe seems to be real, not hype. 450 mm wafer production coming. Moving from .65->-.45->-.32 mfg process. New CPUs in the future that will only need 200 mv to operate. Wait a minute, I also remember couple years back reading about the future. Single ...

Intel future- Pentium M core
So, the future of Intel was not meant to be the P4, but back along the lines of the P3 family. More interesting, the M core. I can remember reading several years ago how some folks were suggesting to Intel they ditch the P4 in favour of the Pentium M in the desktop. At last, this is good. I'm lookin...

PC3-724s. It's got the Koolance built right in. I swapped out my Asus A8n-SLI Deluxe out of a full server case for this mid tower Lian -Li modded by Koolance. Dang. Wasen't aware of the memory controler issue defaulting to lower speed with four sticks. I was going to go with two sticks of 1 gig each, but from what I read different places, 512 sticks seem to preform better than the 1 gig sticks. Research time. Thanks I've looked about the web, but I can't ...

Keep in mind guys , I'm new to OCing. Why are you taking the IHS/IMS off? I'm going to guess for better cooling Won't one stand a better chance of crushing the chip as the IH spreaders are supposed to take about 70 [AMD]-100 [Intel] pounds of force while the chips them selves won't? Glad things turn...

My Koolance fan speed learning curve
In my marathon Doom 3 ROE game fest that "I forced myself to play" for OCing testing, I found this out about the Koolance auto fan speed settings. On auto the fans won't kick up high enough to keep my system temps low enough. My temp at the water block/edge of cpu heat spreader seems to be...

At these setting, everything seems to be running fine. Prime 95 torture test is runing fine with no problems so far. CPU-Z is ver...
