Ouch!
Wasn't your RAM under warranty? Why would you take off the heatsinks?

Re: Kingston Shows Off 12 'chained' SSDNow Series Drives
Not that I'll ever need to open 50 programs in 15 seconds, but impressive! Any details on the price? The Adaptec RAID 5085 storage controller is $765.08 shipped and the Adaptec RAID 5445 storage controller is $742.37 shipped. If you factor in the eight Kingston SNE125-S2/32GB drives at $443.98 ship...

Re: Please Make Sure You Clean Your Heatsink Fins Out
I just had someone bring me a computer wondering why it kept shutting off. When I opened it up, the heatsink was only attached by 1 push pin!
(LGA775 in case you are wondering!

Re: All Solid caps vs conventional caps on motherboard.
A google search of solid capacitor shows that Gigabyte is the largest advertiser of solid caps in their mobos. No wonder my current mobo has solid caps. My old rig without solid caps is still running strong (sister's boyfriend has it). Yea, most gigabyte boards over $70 tend to have all solid caps ...

Re: All Solid caps vs conventional caps on motherboard.
I've had no issues with motherboards or video cards in the past 4-5 years with regular capacitors... Solid capacitors are better in the long run, but who really keeps a system around long enough to worry about that and calls themselves a gamer or enthusiast? I wouldn't make it a requirement on a sy...

Re: All Solid caps vs conventional caps on motherboard.
I don't honestly know but I'm guessing unless you are overclocking pretty heavy, probably makes little difference. Especially if you upgrade relatively often. That's what I figured at first, but recently my buddy has had 2 boards die within a week of each other, both less than a year old(with conve...

All Solid caps vs conventional caps on motherboard.
Just wanted some input into this. I was looking for a new motherboard and found myself disregarding any board that I find that doesn't have all solid caps(Even though there are a couple that meet my requirements and are in my price range). Am I being a little paranoid here? How good are the caps on ...
