yeah he has the SLI Infinity.....I'll ask him later.

oh well, it's not a big deal, just so long as I can keep a floppy around with the most current BIOS release, in case I screw up something during the whole process, lol.

Northwood core, or Prescott? Already know the Northwoods are legendary for those speeds, but I dunno much about Prescott concerning that.

too nice man.....one thing though, I don't think this mobo I have has CMOS Reloaded, unfortunately.....maybe this feature was reserved for the high-end mobos? It would be a good thing to put on a low-end board though, just to give the budget OCer options there. Oh well, lol

ok, so it saves it to the HDD then? Or on the CMOS itself? Sorry for sounding like a newb, but hey, I'm learning, lol. I've heard good things about CMOS Reloaded as well. I guess you really don't understand how things like that work until you work with it up close and personal, which I've not had a ...

I see, I'm curious about something though: how do you save the BIOS settings you have into a file on the PC or a floppy? I've heard people backing up their BIOS, but never knew how....only know how to flash the BIOS. You're right, DFI has what you need when it comes to memory timings, voltages, FSB,...

I like to have headroom with my OC's, so yeah I'll go the TCCD-based Plat. Rev. 2 :)

It seems like you have millions of combinations for voltages, RAM drive strength, frequencies, multis, etc, etc.....it has to be maddening at some point, lol

ahhh very nice, thanks Ken :) yeah, I forgot exactly how much voltage BH5 needed, and considering my build is going to be around a DFI Ultra Infinity mobo, I might need to drop to TCCD-based memory. I plan on grabbing up the BH5 though, because I plan on eventually grabbing a Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D...

PWMIC's were running that cool? that's awesome, you must have good case cooling as well, because I know you're W/C'ing some of the components in this system. Plat Rev. 2 is the shiznit IMO, and it's one of my choices here. Btw, I'm curious, what IC's do G. Skill generally use? I know some of the old...

ohh, you're running BH5 in the Expert system now!?!?!? man, didn't see that one coming, lol. yeah it'll take awhile for all the testing, but I'm sure it can give some decent return, as BH5 can take the voltage at good timings...dropping your multi may be a decent way to go to squeeze a little more o...

man, I'd throw the TCCD sticks on that board so fast, lol....damn fine chips IMO......I'm looking around for RAM with em still, though my final decision may be a G.Skill 2 GB kit, dunno yet. Happy Greediness, lol :finga:

you greedy greedy mofo's, lol I'm conservative in OCing, and I figure if I can get at least, say, 300-400 MHz OC out of a chip, I'm happy....which I guess is why I'm only deciding on high-end air for now (XP-90C w/ a Delta high-flow fan).....when I get more greedy, I'll get something more expensive,...

yeah, they might on Pricewatch, but what you really want to know is what customers specifically think about a certain vendor, not just an overall rating....I always look at every aspect of a vendor before I buy from them, because I didn't once with BZBOYZ and got burned, big time!! They gave me crap...

in full Cartman tone and I quote: "kiiiiiiiick assssss", lol btw, did a little research on Isquared for you on resellerratings.com, good site you're buying from. The rating isn't as high as Newegg's, but I think you'll be just fine as it still has a high customer rating....hope the card works out we...

no joke, I wish socket M2 would hurry up and come out though....it's supposed to be compatible with DDR2 if I'm not mistaken. I would love to see its capabilities with a dual-core processor definitely!

yeah, damn Catch-22, lol....well, if they would just partner with some profitable companies, they would have the cash flow needed to pump out more chips; but hey, they're good chips for the price IMO, and I wish Dell would use them instead of Intel (though my mind is bound to change in the next few ...

I would have to second that one myself......and include links to articles on how to unlock pipes, flash a video card BIOS, etc It would be a good way to get more of the members involved, in that they could contribute what info they have to the sticky, and can benefits newbs at this, or people who ju...
