Re: Windows 7 Release Candidate
I think the RTM version I saw was ultimate, I'm not sure if it will accept a downgraded key to Professional or Home Premium. I also don't know when I can access a student discount version, the tech guys at school said January/February at earliest. I want 7 for the performance, then again I can affor...

Windows 7 Release Candidate
Apparently you can still get keys for it off the Microsoft website. It's valid until June, 2010 but starts rebooting itself every 2 hours in March. That's still awhile, but they took the download link down last week and I can't find a mirror of the 64-bit version anywhere. Torrent websites have some...

Re: Ted Kennedy's Passing
Sorry about Ted Kennedy. My only comment on healthcare is I hear a lot of people attacking doctors pay from time to time. I think doctors are in the same class as lawyers or other professionals and should make accordingly, due to many years of school and challenges in their careers. But as someone p...

Re: Iphone 3GS
I don't get their deal with AT&T from a business standpoint. I understand why ATT is doing it, they are a pretty terrible service company and the iphone builds them a large and expensive customer-base. But if Apple were to open the iphone to other carriers, the number of people with iphones woul...

Yes, it is nice. I didn't know there was a value reward You hinted at it already, if I won this then it will be for my next build. It is weird it comes with a front fan and not a back one, I'd go with a no-frills strong fan that isn't too loud.

Re: Cash for Clunkers Begins Today...
Actually the energy cost to build a new car exceeds that lost by maintaining/repairing and driving a used vehicle, even if it has worse gas mileage. From an environmental standpoint, buying a new car will always hurt the environment more than help it if you can keep your vehicle running. But, this i...

Re: Chinese Worker Kills Self Over Missing iPhone
I saw it on BBC. I always find it suspicious when someone accused of stealing company secrets commits suicide. I mean throwing yourself off a 12 story building isn't the most popular suicide option, I'd suspect foul play.

I got this too on my brother's computer. It is a false positive from Avira according to people, but it is annoying. I have just disable it, since telling Avira to ignore won't work. No wonder I replaced Avira with BitDefender on my computers.

Aion might be alright, but seriously, are any of these companies competent enough to technologically construct and design what Blizzard has? Not even close.
I still go back to WoW when other games get old. I'm not always in the mood for Call of Duty.

It was this card (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDe ... t=celebros) , bottom price was 55 after rebate and 30 dollars off from the ebillme crap. The rebate is no longer there though, but whatever you do wait for the price drop before you buy.

Re: Dell vs. Home Rigs
As someone said, for lower level systems Dell is absolutely cheaper when you throw in os, mouse/keyboard, monitor. Dell mice are cheap as hell, broke on me and they sent a replacement with online support. The support is pretty good and headache free, unlike providing your own support should you get ...

120 for a 4850? I saw one for half-that on zipzoomfly awhile ago.

Is WoW coming to an end? 3.2 woes
I'm a long time WoW player and it seems to me that the game will be nearing the end with Icecrown Citadel and Arthas, in spite of blues asserting there is much more to the story outside of Arthas left to be told. Months back, Tigole, one of the lead designers, left to work on an unannounced MMO from...
