Re: RTX 2070 High Temps

part of the reason I went with watercool is due to their support. they have, IMO, the best looking and performing blocks on the market. all I care about it performance and customer service. the only other company that has great support is corsair. asrock was very slow and ekwb was speedy but try to ...

Re: RTX 2070 High Temps

I had no idea either but when I contacted watercool in regards to this they said it shouldn't come loose and to check after another day or 2 and if the screws are still coming loose then they will issue a refund for the block. so 1 day in and no issues at all. maybe I didn't tighten them as much as ...

Re: RTX 2070 High Temps

i know my stuff and sometimes get into the nitty gritty. i mean i pulled the 4 pin fan header pins out so i could fit the gpu block to the gpu and it fit perfectly :) Anyway i found my problem. the issue, as pointed out by another builder like myself, was that i may need to tighten the screws on the...

Re: RTX 2070 High Temps

when I got the gigabyte windforce rtx 2070, I was informed that it is a reference pcb and that an rtx reference block would fit. When I purchased the Heatkiller IV rtx 2080 reference block I soon found out it didn't fit. it seems the rtx 2070 I had utilized the 2 4pin fan header at the top by the pc...

Re: RTX 2070 High Temps

not a bubble in the loop, re did the paste and this happens across all games so it's a block issue. thought it would be the block wasn't seated right. first time or maybe that this gpu just ran hot. but at 100% load I get 72c hotter than most the air cooled ones. me thinks I got a problem.

RTX 2070 High Temps

So as the title says i'm getting what I believe for a water cooled system high gpu temps. In my sig you can see the system I have. When playing the cycle (Epic Games), I have vsync off and I get temps of 72c max on the gpu. With vsync on (60fps) I get max 60c at 75% max load. this is only 4c lower t...

Re: dual boot

disk management should have been able to fix the raw file format but even so you got the drive and clone fixed. as knightrid says even software developers need to eat :)

Re: dual boot

I had the exact same issue. Turns out I forgot to allocate the free space as you do when you wipe a disk with secure wipe or simply writing zero's. Check to make sure you haven't done the same and use system clone as you are cloning the OS.

Re: Win7/8 free upgrade to Win10

Glad you still have working versions of windows 10. I have used the same free upgrade key on this pc and never had an issue as of yet. but many of my friends have had the same issue as many due to some older programs not being compatible.

Re: dual boot

when you use the m.2 slot it will disable 2 of the sata ports. need to check your mobo manual for which sata ports it disables.

Re: dual boot

if I'm not mistaken, at boot you should be given the option of booting from either drive and then let your GF know that shes needs to select sata ssd and not nvme/pcie ssd at boot and she will have her own system the way she likes it :)

Re: Win7/8 free upgrade to Win10

thankfully everything I had on my windows 7 pc was compatible with my windows upgrade. so no issues there. but I have to agree some things did seem out of place and had to slightly re-acquire parts of my brain to get windows 10 working similar to windows 7. however not to criticize mircosoft, they d...

Re: OLOy????

Possible to be repurposing old ddr4 stick and selling them on with their own heatsink design? Seems to be owned by chipset technology holding limited and many have had no issues with them. Also OLOy is yolo backwards has many have pointed out :)

I can confirm that kaspersky has caused issue on windows 7 causing bsod. using the removal tool Knightrid linked helped fix the issue. However never had this issue with windows 10.
