ASUS Z71V
Is there anywhere that consistantly has the Z71V in stock for a reasonable price? This place is where I was suggested to go, but they will only get one in stock and that will go pretty quick.

Nothing is stopping you from doing that as long as it fits. If it is an older drive then it might not have much cache and be a bit slow on the RPM side. I used a Toshiba Super Slimline MK8026GAX (HDD2191) 80GB 5400 RPM notebook drive. It features 16mb of cache, which is more than most notebooks and...

Hard Drive Transplant Question
Yet another question about my pending laptop build  I have an old IBM Thinkpad. I don't recall the model right now, but in is a 12GB Hard Drive. As I plan building this laptop, I keep wanting to upgrade the parts I'm planning on buying. So, to counter this, I thought I could put this drive...

Wireless Adapter Question
I'm looking at mini pci wireless adapters right now and I came across this one:
MSI MP54G4
Anyone know anything about it? Does MSI generally make good wireless adapters? Would this fit in the ASUS Z71V?

I was thinking of a 12 inch widescreen, something similar to that small laptop on stage that the someone said looked like a sony laptop. I want it to be light and small enough that I can carry it to class without it being cumbersome. ASUS Z33A Intel Pentium M Processor 730-765, 1.6GHz-2.1...

Nate, Great presentation. I was wondering where you found the price for the ASUS whitebox you had listed in your presentation? I think I want to use the Pentium M I won (woo!) to build a laptop similar to that one, except with only 512 mb ram and just dvd-rom. My other thought would be to find a whi...
