Sapphire TriXX + XFX 5850 = voltage tweak??

I decided to download TriXX to see if I can use the voltage overclock for my non-reference XFX 5850 ZAFC. MSi Afterburner wouldn't allow me to increase the voltage. I changed to voltage a little bit and checked with GPU-Z..and guess what!! Voltage goes up! I'm not sure if it really does adjust the v...

Re: Processor Core ?

From using many Adobe softwares (CS3, CS4, and CS5) on my schools' computers, yes they support multi-cores. Having a processors with multiple cores will allow you to run Adobe programs A LOT smoother. All the i5 processors have 2 cores and 4 threads; none of them have 4 cores. http://ark.intel.com/P...

FInally fixed the issue. we need to use MSI Afterburner 2.1 beta 7 and we need to do a couple of different things in order to use it properly. Re: computer locks up several times a day?

cpu heat is aroud 97C , zone 1 is 60C and zone 2 is 60C When you said cpu heat, you mean the CPU temperature right? If so, that's nuts! 97*C?! That's probably why the PC is locking up; WAAAY TOO HOT!! Make sure the CPU cooler fan is not broken & not spinning. 1. Clean the CPU cooler, there ...

Re: Please help me

Yes, you need to install all the drivers for your motherboard acessories to work correctly. There will most likely be updates that are newer than the ones found on your disk, so getting those after is a good idea also. As far a BIOS; you only need the most recent one. When you flash a BIOS, the old ...

Re: Figure Out Who Made Your Power Supply - List Your Model!

My power supply is made by: PC POWER & COOLING 5995 AVENIDA ENCINAS CARLSBAD, CA 92008 USA It is a PC Power and Cooling Silencer470 with UL# E131500! That's a pretty decent quality power supply; PC Power & Cooling is now a part of OCZ Technology now, and their PSU's are also not too bad. From the U...

Re: Please help me

It seems to be due to an error form your ASUS drivers. Do you have an ASUS motherboard or graphcis card? (The card is deisnged by ATi, but made by ASUS?). Do you have ASUS Smart Docotor installed? If so, uninstall it and see if that helps... EDIT: Your graphics card is and ASUS EAH 2400 Pro. Uninsta...

Interesting indeed. Hope LR gets to review this soon...might make a HTPC for my parents to replace the weak Celeron+1GB RAM+Radeon 9250 they're using. I was surprised about the PCI-E x16 slot..that's @ x4 ... :? Might not matter much for a APU chip and for a HTPC, but still. Gigabyte has one availab...

Re: Q6600 overclock on P5KC

Hello, I was wondering if you can post all the settings that you changed in your BIOS to achieve the 3.6 GHz of speed, as I am trying to push my Q6600 G0 to 3.6, but can only get to 3.2 stable for 12 hours in Prime 95. I tried upping the CPU Voltage to 5.0, but have not had any avail. Are you sayin...

Re: "new cpu installed" repeat message on every boot

I've owned my Crosshair IV Formula Mobo & PhenomII 1090T for almost 2 months and I haven't updated the BIOS yet (running BIOS 1005). I've seen that message only once or twice when I just put my rig together...and I stopped seeing it after adjusting some BIOS settings. Do a simply BIOS setting change...

Thanks for the reply, very helpful. I think it just may not be compatible, which is stupid. I'm not really up to date with my computer tech, what motherboard would you suggest for an AMD X2 6400+ Black Edition? Let's see the Athlon 64 X2 6400+ was only made with the "Windsor" core, which is 90nm te...

Re: GAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! I CAN'T DECIDE!

I'm not sure if any cases have a built-in temperature monitor; you usually have to buy an aftermakret one. Most computer cases don't go over $300, but there are some...like the Thermaltake Level 10 with a heavy price of $800.. Anyways! The Cooler Master Storm Sniper has a chassis fan control feature...

Re: New gfx card, no video, no usb power, other gfx card wor

I can think of a couple reasons so far; see if these help. 1. Old drivers (or leftover driver filies) from your older graphics card are still present. Uninstall your old driver and run a cleaner (like CCleaner) to remove any of the leftover driver files found in the registry, etc. Your old drivers m...
