Re: Primary Graphics Card Problem

Re: Asus 1201N RAM slots Q

Well, if they have the option of 3GB, it's very unlikely that it's only got 1 slot as no manufacturer I know make 3GB DIMMs. Faster than Ever Before – Dual Core Processor × Two-DIMM Well I had a look at the ASUS website, and you can see the result - Two DIMM. Yes, it would probably be cheaper for he...

Re: Dropbox

Just thought I'd say, I've been using Dropbox for about 3 Months now, and it's been really handy. Cause I use my laptop and desktop fairly equally, I often need the files on my desktop on my laptop. The sharing is a GODSEND! I've been using it to collab with one of my friends who is making a Battlef...

[ I have looked at buying all the parts and putting a computer together, put the parts are just as expensive if not more then a built machine. And with a DELL or HP unit, there is other software that comes with the machine that I would have to buy. If you have an idea for a machine, please let me k...

512 and 1TB SSDs? I just hope that they're reasonably priced. :)

Nope. Once you format a drive, its contents are unrecoverable. I'm sorry but once you format a drive, that data is gone for good.

Re: Start up issue

There may be a setting for a 'Delay before Boot' or somesuch. Reduce it to 0. There is nothing wrong with your computer, a BIOS open prompt is normal and all computers have it.

Ah well. It was worth a try. Only thing I might be able to use it for is AOE2 :). Any ideas on how to get RAID going, if possible anyway? Re: Upgrade to 8800m GTX or New Alienware?

Someone I know got an Alienware M17x fairly recently, with (I Believe) the ~3GHz Dual core and GTX280 SLI. His boot times were abysmal. As far as I know, Alienwares are way overpriced. The only reason I would get one is for the cool keyboard backlighting and because they are (only marginally) the fa...

Re: HP ZV6000 laptop Socket 939 CPU Upgrade possible to what?

Probably the other CPUs would work. The size (in nm) is an internal measurement in the CPU. A different size shouldn't affect the usability of the CPU, so long as it is the same socket.
