Re: ATI Radeon HD 5850 CrossFire Video Card Review

looks like AMD is putting out a very competitive midrange card. NVIDIA must come up with something taht can compete or it can be facing a very challenging market.

Re: *POLL* GT300 or 5870?

i think currently amd is really doing quite well with their 5870. However, with nvidia releasing the card a bit later, they can have tweaks to give them a performance increase. NOw the question is whether or not hte card will run cooler and have more feature than the amd card. The 5870 is sure a ver...

are you gonna to give this out. I wan tit:).

netbook sure is getting better and better. Man I think finally we will see a true portable system that is also powerful. I can't wait to see dual core getting into netbooks and hopefully a slightly more powerful gpu.

interesting stuff but I am not sure how useful it would be if there's no software to support it.

Re: AMD Phenom II Breaks Another Overclocking World Record

it's good to see this but I think unofrtunately, for avg user and ocers, intel still has a slightly better advantage with teh core i7. At least AMD is not too far behind now.

Re: Intel 32nm Westmere Desktop Processor Roadmap Exposed

Die shrinks are always good, keep up the pace Intel. AMD, keep Intel in check! not neccessary true:). The Pentium 4 die shrink does not seem to help too much to its crappy design. I am waiting for the 32nm processor to upgrade (or may simply skip the current gen and move to the next tick from intel...

Re: AMD Phenom II AM3 Processors Coming Soon

OLD X3 processors have issue to keep up with the dual core core 2 duo even with its additonal core because of weak achitecture. Luckily the X3 of AM3 sure is able to perform on par with the C2D but at the same time the extra core offers better performance if the apps support it.

Re: Intel: Use our CPU (not their GPU) for games

this is a loosing battle for intel. we all know that gpu makes slightly more diff in term of games. I think until intel's laranbee coming out, we won't see intel making a big impact against gpu makers. Though, we dont' know how the larnabee will perform, it will at leat be possible for intel to some...

Re: AMD Phenom II AM3 Processors Coming Soon

despite the fact that md may not be able to overtake core i7's performance, I like that they offer support for both ddr2 and ddr3. it makes the cpu's lifespan a bit longer.

Re: Gelid Silent Spirit LGA 1366 CPU Cooler Review

I HATE THE intel mounting mechanism. it's so easy to break the plastic tab. I think if manufactures wish to use it, they need to include extra mounting kit.
