Can the definitions be updated? If so, can they be stored on the device?

No. My 8800GT doesn't whine but it is pretty loud. It goes at about 50% fan speed when folding.

Sounds awesome. I already have a filter installed in my house and that is mostly where I drink my water, so I can't see the use of it for me.

Re: New cartoon on Intel's Insides

Yeah, these comics seem to just be Nvidia complaining about anti-competitive practices with little to no humour. No wonder they're looking for ideas, they don't seem to have many of their own.

That's great. Just curious though, what sort of applications are going to use OpenGL 4.0? For that matter, what applications have used OpenGL 3.x?

Re: Is adding a second GeForce 9600 GSO Card For SLI Worth It?

Hmm, I think overall that SLI and multi-GPU setups in general are a waste. Maybe it's because I never set one up, but looking at benchmarks, I think you're better off just getting a more powerful single card.

Re: DEUS EX 3 CONFIRMED !

Square Enix has truly been extending their reach as publisher. As for the game, the teaser looked cool, but from what I've read I have my doubts. I reeeeeally hope the game turns out well but I have this nagging feeling that they're going to screw it up.

Re: Feb 2010 Drawing - Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler and More!

Make me the winner of the Gaming PC this month and I'll fill the 8GB card in my SD1000 with pictures to send you. I'll even throw in benchmarks of it pitted against my humble Core2Quad rig and my overclocked E5200. Oh yeah?! Well I'd do all that plus record hour long videos of me using the gaming P...

Bullet sounds totally sweet. Works on all GPUs supporting OpenCL/DirectCompute as well as CPUs and it's free? I can see this API becoming very popular.

Re: Which would you rather have on your next system

PhysX can be used for gameplay. They don't do that since it complicates between having PhysX and not having PhysX. You'll see the awesomeness of physics on GPU once a standard API comes about that works on all GPUs. There will be a jump in physics similar to when graphics were being offloaded onto G...
