Re: Microsoft Announces PrimeSense will Provide "NATAL" 3D
The last I've seen of Natal was that there was still noticeable lag between player movements and on-screen movements. Hopefully they will (or already have a) fix that.

Re: Oh Folding at Home
I have recently joined the team with my 8800GT. I only fold when I'm home, though. I'm around rank 149 on the team, I believe.

Re: Cooking An Egg On A GeForce GTX 480 Video Card
If the newer cards keep up the temperature, will there be a cooking benchmark section in reviews?

Re: XFX Will Not Offer GeForce 400 Series GPUs
Nvidia ran into too many delays for not much of an increase in performance over the competition. I am excited about the architecture, though. Anything that makes the GPU more general purpose is good, I'd say.

That is so lame. What kind of a system loses funcionality as it gets upgraded? Absolutely ridiculous.

Re: Inno3D Shows Off First Non-Reference GeForce GTX 470 GPU
Nice. The Fermi cards could always use more cooling. I'm not sure how bad the GTX 470 in comparison to the GTX 480, but I'm sure better cooling is almost necessary.

Re: XFX 5770
I have the XFX 5770 and it's amazing. I have it OC'd to 900/1350 and I run the fan set at 50-60% and the temps are great. The fan does get a little loud @ 70+ speeds but I don't think that speed is needed. I can run Heaven benchmark with just 1 of these cards with 8 AA, 8 AAF and normal tessalation...

Re: Triple SLI or 3-Way SLI GeForce GTX 480 Video Cards
The performance seems pretty good, especially in the Unigine Heaven 2.0 demo, but the thought of how much heat it generates and how much power it draws makes me shudder. Awesome system, though!

Re: Which would you rather have on your next system
Ultimately performance and reasonable heat and power levels are most important, but I do think physics calculated on GPU is going to be very important in newer games.

Wow. So the GTX 480 excels at extreme amounts of tessellation. I wonder how much this will matter in upcoming DirectX 11 games.

There's a different design used in the cake in one of their commercials.

Re: Disable overtemp protection
Hmm, I don't know how to disable it. It was put there in the first place for a very good reason, though. Even if you could, I would suggest against doing it, unless you want to risk destroying your hardware. Perhaps you should invest in better cooling?

Re: Intel Has Cake At Office Party Today - What CPU??
They have methods of printing a picture onto a cake. I think they can spray edible ink onto the cake's surface. That or they can take the cheaper route and print the picture on a cardboard slip and take place it on top. I highly doubt they would recreate the image by hand. That would be insane.
