Re: Corsair Obsidian 700D PC Case Pictures and Details Leaked

It's probably going to compete with the Raven 02 and FT02 (are those both fulltowers?) at that range.

oops, I was looking at the local prices up here. Cheapest 800D is $294 up here with environmental fees on electronics tacked on plus 13% tax = FTL.

I hope this one is more affordable. $300 for a case is pretty high. lol.

I have an Opera browser so I use the built-in mail client. I don't know what I'd do without this browser.

Re: Intel Core i7 processor query

lol I didn't check mine before I put it in if it had that, now I'm paranoid that it might be contributing to my temps topping at 82°C on Prime95. Although that would probably be stupid since the processor probably won't even boot if I had left it on. Although when I think about it more, I also didn'...

Re: Intel DX58SO mobo + tall ram + super heatsinks

How about a 90 degree setup with only 1 fan pushing on the bottom upwards toward the ram? (I must admit the RAM will still block the some of the air but that's better than nothing). Would a thermalright fit this way? I'm going to put it in a full tower case with 2x120mm fans exhaust pulling from the...

According to my doctor, apparently the skin on your balls is much more absorbent than other regular parts of your skin. lol.

Re: what's a good hard drive for running an OS on?

I am looking for a new HD as well. I have recently built an i7 system and I didn't realize how much of a bottleneck HD is. I am using a 2.5inch 5400RPM SATA HD pulled from a dead laptop temporarily and the bottleneck is too obvious as I can barely multi-task. How much of an improvement will I get on...

Re: Will i7 930 release drive down prices of i7 range computers?

There haven't been much in the way of price drops in a while. The closest thing to price drops recently are DDR2 (contract price dropped $1 from $41 to $40). lol. LCD/LED's are increasing soon as well, just in time for me needing to buy one >:< In retrospect, the hex-core 980x sounds like a bargain...

Re: RAM Prices Are They Going Up or Down?

Bad news for DDR3
http://forums.legitreviews.com/about25793.html :/

Thankfully I got a huge deal on my recent 3x2GB purchase, because there's no way I would've paid the retail price of $200+ 13% CDN tax for it.

Re: Intel DX58SO mobo + tall ram + super heatsinks

its bad enough the local stores here don't carry a big selection of heatsinks (mostly zalmans, ugh..) Zalman is soo Core2  it sucks that intel made the board that cramped between the CPU/RAM, so many limitations Not to mention the IOH is actively cooled with a VERY LOUD little fan that also ha...

EVGA 8800GT SC (with ghetto fan mod on top of chipset) running Furmark = 74°C :)

EDIT:
MSI GTX260 OC core 192 fan on auto with MSI Afterburner = idles 45°c (AB set fan auto at 50%), full load at 72°C (AB set fan auto to 60%)

yep, even the dual core e8400 still sells for only like 10-15 dollars less than what it sold for 2 years ago. lol
