10TB Hard Drive?

I have been in contact with a person (that seems to be legitimate) about buying a used 500BG WD Black HDD. I asked him to hook the drive up to his computer to show that it is recognized in drive management, and he sent me a screenshot jpg showing the drive hooked up and looking normal for an NTFS fo...

Sweet! So would you say that this is the forerunner in the HD Media boxes that you have reviewed so far?

Re: Identify This Missouri Grass Weed

Sadly I have this same problem as well. Pretty soon it will be my main grass, and the turfgrass will all be gone. Oh well, at least it is green so from a distance it looks like I have a lawn, lol Anybody thought of using goats? I probably couldn't due to our snobby subdivision association here...

Re: Windows 7 (64-Bit) unable to connect to wireless network

Actually, I had this same issue, and for me, the solution is ridiculous. Question: do you have iTunes installed on your system? If you do, uninstall a program called BonJour. Your system may be trying to connect to that program, thinking it's a network. As soon as I uninstalled it on my system, no ...

Re: SilverStone HDDBOOST Review

So it is established that you have to have a HDD in the HDDBOOST for it to operate even though a copy of the OS is on the SSD. The only other thing I would have to wonder is, would you only have to install the basic OS on a new HDD and then install it into the HDDBOOST and have it still boot up (and...

Re: SilverStone HDDBOOST Review

What I meant was it appears that when you first hookup a drive with an OS already installed it copies over that OS to the SSD in the HDDBOOST. Then if you take out the original HDD and put a freshly formatted HDD back in, does it have a feature to copy all the files from the HDDBOOST's SSD back to y...

Re: SilverStone HDDBOOST Review

This could really come in handy for those that use WinXP. I know that every time I have to do a reinstall (even from the official msdn XPProSP3 cd) I have hours of updating to do to bring it up to todays date. It would be nice to not have to do a reinstall. Plus with all the stuff I like to load at ...

Re: Wireless adapter advice

Which one would be the best for a clueless user to get the most benefit from (ie: best interface, easiest settings to see performance gains, etc.)? I currently have one box wired to the router (my videdit box), two WinXP kids boxes for surfing and games (wireless with the WUSB54G adapters), one surf...

Re: Wireless adapter advice

About the only negatives I can think of is that these are in my living room so I will have a router in sight and have to locate another power plug in. Right now with all the paraphernalia already hooked up (2 systems, computer speakers, LCD TV, Cable box, surround sound deck, powered sub for HTPC, e...

Re: Wireless adapter advice

Thanks for explaining. Actually if that were possible to use client mode for 2 separate computers in the same router it would be cheaper to get a used router that supports it. I'm assuming, though, that the router would make the two computers share the same LAN address which could be problematic. Th...

Re: Wireless adapter advice

USB would be nice, but I have available PCI slots. My HTPC currently has Win7-64 on it, and this box is currently XP but as soon as I find an adapter that will work with Win7 it will also get Win7-64. The other two boxes are just my kids boxes and they do just fine with WinXP and their WUSB54G adapt...
