Re: Power Supply Death, But Why?
All I can say is his PSU worked fine for 2 days then crapped out completely. We ended up going with a Corsair HX620 for the replacement as my buddy didn't feel comfortable getting another OCZ PSU with all the DOA and sudden death reports all over Newegg customer reviews.

Re: Power Supply Death, But Why?
Hmm, well I guess its another case of OCZ's sudden PSU death syndrome... Same thing happened with a StealthXSteam PSU on my buddy's system when I was helping him through a full-tower upgrade :/

Hmm, another underdog graphics card provider? Kinda reminiscent of MSI's fan design though.

Re: Family Computer Repair - Moral Question...
Could just talk to them, try to convince them to scratch your back for scratching theirs. What are the chances that the card you don't want anymore has less power draw than the other? Might be a good place to start!

Re: Antec Nine Hundred Two Ultimate Gaming Case Review
Yeah I agree about the dust filters, I've used the 900 and 902 in several builds for our customers. Its one of the big reasons why I bought the Antec P-180B over the 900. I never really followed the instructions that come with the cases though, so for the builds I've done for friends I usually only ...

Re: Antec Nine Hundred Two Ultimate Gaming Case Review
What I'm taking from your post is that you were dissatisfied with the original 900, so you bought the second version without enough research? Another quirk i have is that you were too soft on the case and it is a thing that reviews do just so that they can get more on the manufacture good side. Not ...

Re: Choppy graphics in crowded MMO areas
Honestly, that question would be best put to the official forums of your MMO, if its a common problem then I'm sure there are nuances they will be able to point out

Re: Choppy graphics in crowded MMO areas
Well I wouldn't think that just because you bought a cheap router that its to blame, but it wouldn't hurt to run [url=http://www.speedtest.net]Speedtest's app[\url] and [url=http://www.pingtest.net]Pingtest's app[\url] just to see what kind of connection you have or if you might have a ridiculously ...

Re: Choppy graphics in crowded MMO areas
Are you using a wireless card or are you using ethernet for your internet connection? From what I understand about MMOs it really depends on your internet connection and latency to keep crowded places smooth. Even so, when you have low latency and a great high-speed connection you can still run into...

Re: Gigabyte GHOST M8000X Gaming Mouse Review
you'd be amazed how many PR's have typos... Not that LR's articles are perfect, but when million dollar companies can't spell right it makes us look better. And at least articles can be fixed, but a slide? You know there's probably the ONE guy who was tasked to do those slides and he's face-palming...

Good review, and pretty decent little mouse too!
Side note though, I wish PR would have proofread their slides cause GHOST is misspelled in the last slide on the first page of the review

Re: Triple SLI
I sent my Asus board in for RMA. It should be back in a couple of weeks...ish. The board does triple sli and is a 775 socket. I presume I do not need much of a CPU to do this. I guess mu question is what are choices do I have in video cards that are budget minded that support triple SLI? I do not w...
