I'm not sure if you have to reformat, but you'll definitely need to reinstall Windows. As the motherboard chipset and most likely the CPU type will be changed, Windows needs a new HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) to operate.

This will be great, but right now I only have the funds to upgrade to the Barton class, bottom of it. And no more. So I will be able to upgrade a year later to the top of the Barton line without changing mobo n stuff. But not more, the next upgrade will have to be a full system again. Not good, thes...

Hey, nice place to be!

I read on a Hungarian site that some guys from a local review site are there too! :) If you see "Prohardver" guys, give them a "Hello" :)

Hope you see a lot of good stuff over there - and even bring some! :D

I try to do that, infinite, but costs are just killing me, and my options are rather restricted. I still don't know what will come out of this, I'm still before the purchase, and I keep getting answers from the shops that the stuff I want is not available  And I have to buy from certain shops ...

Only one RAM module in a dual channel board? Possible?

Hello! I'm planning to buy a new system, and there are 2 boards in scope: a VIA KT600 based ASUS A7V600, and an nForce2 Ultra based EPOX Epox 8RDA3+. My problem is that I can not buy 2 memory modules (no choice in that), and I'm not sure that nForce2 Ultra handles memory in single channels mode, or ...

Thanks, then I think I'll run for this AData stuff. Of course I'd be happy if I won later on from Apop's asian babes...I mean goodies :) But I have to act fast, as some "almost free money" kind of action expires til then. And then again, it isn't even sure I'd win :)

A-Data RAM - Is it any good?

Hello! I'm planning on buying new RAM for a new computer, and A-Data seems to be in the good price range (cheap :) ) I'm looking at PC3200 512 MB RAM, with Samsung chips, which I guess would be just fine. Any experience about A-Data ram, any of you? I really wouldn't like to buy anything else, as I'...

Hey capper, I was really just joking! You're idea is good IMHO!
Some other sites use the same system (do something -> you can win) and it works just fine.

Gosh, I hope you don't think I'm that greedy :)

I read on one Hungarian (my home country) website that NVidia has made plans for an interchangeable mobile video card standard . The simple addon card would contain the chipset and stuff, the cooling would have to be integrated in the laptop's appropriate port. Emphasis is on standard, ad this would...

This is simply stupid. Jaguar should have put the diamond, if they rally had to, to some less sensible position. I simply can't believe this.

And I don't even think that the diamond could have been even visible on the car. So why is this sponsorship? The whole story is weird.
