Re: GTX 295 problem

Loaded the latest (stable.... oops nVidia) drivers (for my XP and 7 boot drives) I was in the process of playing HL2 EP2 when freezes occurred and now no freezes. Going to play some more just to verify. I had tried 186 and 191 drivers and neither worked. A little hard to believe that it was the driv...

Re: GTX 295 problem

Ken
I wasn't clear on the video cards. 9800 GT is an nVidia card so all I got is nVidia drivers.
However, I will reinstall the nVidia drivers to see what happens.

GTX 295 problem

Got a video problem. My 295 is freezing on games. The screen/audio freezes (total freeze) and only thing left is the reboot button. Thought it was audio drivers, but no. Card running cool (everything is cool in the Antec case) Removed the 295 and ran on the 9800 only, no problem (finally loaded hl2,...

This appears to be the place where Physx could "never gone before."
Great for games, wonder how many cores it will take to drive it?

Second the monster statement.
Wonder what "lapped" results would bring.
Imagine CPU's are all so different that the results might vary widely.
My e8500 was certainly NOT flat, but it sure was when I was done sanding it.

Re: Antec Nine Hundred Two Ultimate Gaming Case Review

I have a v1 also and never had problems with the funky hard-bays screws, they just kinda auto-lined up. BUT I do have the Corsair 750 with all those log power cables and what a mess. got the majority stuffed into the lower bay area (which probably totally negates the cooling from the fan in that bay...

That's an impressive lineup; especially when you look at those TDP's.
Intel can be proud.
But it's an expensive lineup too.

Not JUST doing nothing.
My dedicated 9800 Physx card is happily burning up watts while doing nothing.
Cool.

Re: Cases!

My Antec 900 (the first version) is super quiet and cool.
Got it with a rebate for 60 US
But the main thing is the quiet, the big fan on the top makes no noise at all!
If you are paying 80 pounds for a case, check on the ones with big fans, they really help.

Yah, like WAY UP ! I have 8 gigs of Corsair DDR2 800 purchased between 8 months and a year ago. Got them on NewEgg with two purchases with rebates for 20 bucks a piece ($40 total). The same 4 gig ram set at NewEgg right now is 89.99 ($180 for 8 gigs). Huge price increase. Guess I will be keeping thi...

Nate Reg Physx, your report said: "For our testing we set everything as high as it would go, except for PhysX and NVIDIA Multi Sample Anti-Aliasing." and your screenshot of the Batman Setup Panel showed it off. No mention of it being on. http://www.legitreviews.com/images/reviews/1080/batm...

Re: ATI Radeon HD 5970 Dual-GPU Video Card Review

Too bad the Physx is turned OFF
Turned ON, the numbers would be different.
DX11 will be nice
BUT
Batman, Mirror’s Edge, and others are cool with their swirling paper, glass flying all over the place, etc.
Tesselation or Physx: which adds more in-game graphic appeal?
Enquiring mind wanna know.

Very useful card
BUT
has an 80ish dollar look, not $250.
Newegg doesn't carry it anymore, not good.
