Re: AMD Phenom Processor Logos Appear

I haven't know any processor models from intel since the P4, since I've been using AMD since the K6-2 Processor. With saying that, let's hope that these logos will not be the logos representing a crappy processor so I won't have to go to Intel and forget what AMD comes out with next. It kinda looks ...

Yeah I understand that. You could also say it boils down to the size of your monitor. The bigger the monitor, the more needed beefy hardware :)

I love eye-candy

Re: 3.0ghz Phenom and triple crossfire spotted over at Hard[OCP]

Hardware makers are flying past the software. When the so called toughest games to run for your hardware can be run maxed out settings on a 8800 GTX and sometimes GTS what do you need SLi for? I know 100FPS ro more is impressive, but who really needs it? most games you won't notice a difference bet...

I would of said the same thing, but then I thought to myself "Good question". Maybe he wants to have a wireless LAN rather than a wireless internet so his neighbors won't try to steal his bandwidth!

Re: Best software to clean the registry for Windows XP?

IMO it's more of a preference of software. I've tried 3 different ones, and they all work pretty much the same way. If you want a lot options, I would go with Advance System Optimizer or Uniblue's RegistryBooster I hope you know what you're doing, because this ain't a tool cleaner for any kind compu...

Re: New AMD Phenom Processor release date?

I see... I was kind of hoping that the new processor would be out in August because I know BioShock is rumored to be coming out later in that month. A new game like this should have support for that many cores in a processor, EPP memory and SLI configurations and should run extremely well with all t...

No need. The WD Raptor series HD's are still SATA 1 (SATA 150), unless you will be using an SATA II HD.

Thanks for the reply! I called Asus and they said it was definitely defective since I couldn't start the system by using the second x16 slot. So I guess the second x16 slot should work just as good as the first one. So I'm gonna RMA it. It really blows too because I've been trying forever to SLI vid...

I see what you mean. I just figured it out how to do, but it increased my processor speed, no big deal. I set the FSB to 215 now I'm at 3.0GHz and 250Mhz for the ram each.

I'll try that other thingy if I ever decide to go back to 2.8Ghz on the processor.

Thanks for your help!

That didn't work either. I was given an option to overclock the NB to SB to 250 and I still have 234 in CPU-Z, but as far as trying to do that, everything at default is at 200, even the CPU FSB.

I tried to OC the CPU FSB to 250 and it crashed Bios. Luckily this board has a crash free bios system :D

Here's the screenie of CPU-Z 1.40: http://home.tx.rr.com/wops/images/cpu-z_memfreq00.jpg You should try reset the bios, especially with new ram! Well the motherboard default is to read memory up to DDR400, so by resetting bios, it would just go back to 400Mhz. Although if I set each stick to run @ 2...

DDR500 Memclock @ 234 in CPUZ?

I got the Mushkin 2x 1GB DDR500 (3-3-2-8/2.6v-2.9v) and put it in my AN832-SLI Deluxe motherboard. I set the DDR Vcore to 2.8V and I manually entered the stated timings from the brand ( 3-3-2-8 ), and I also set the Memclock to limit to 250MHz. When I boot up, the POST screen states DDR500 instead o...
