Re: WTF?

Well that gives me a bit more time to get my 2 new GTX 460's submerged.

Re: Folding War?

I just ordered 2 GTX 460's. I need to upgrade/add some WC stuff and they should be online maybe by next weekend. I think it's time to retire that 4850 I won a couple of years ago. :) Anyway, I'm in. I'll just say right now that I'll decline any prizes that may come my way. I'm still feeling guilt ov...

Re: HDMI Sound

I don't think you can run sound through HDMI to a monitor. I could be wrong, but pretty sure that's the case. Should work fine with a TV.

Re: Scratch Build: The Ultimate Computer Desk (56k Warning!!

Wood glue and sawdust mix is what I've always used to try and hide things. I have a friend who's a builder and cabinet maker and see what other tips he has.

I am loving this project, keep those updates coming! On a side note, you may want to add a 56k warning to the subject line for anyone still on dialup.

Re: adding new video card. Whats compatible?

Is this in a Compaq/HP dx2400? When I searched for the board # I come up with that model. You might search for the computer model # instead of the board in this instance.

I found a data sheet for a this computer. http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/pscmisc/ ... _sheet.pdf

Re: Playoffs --

Yeah, they are still rebuilding and probably over-achieved a bit this year. I think the D held up okay and did their part. Our O line just stunk it up again, like last week. Anyway, it was a fun season and did better than I thought they would. Sure beats 4-12 of last year!

Re: Folding GPU Question

It would probably be a 460. I have a GTX 260 laying around but it wouldn't be much of a bump. The thing is, my WC system runs pretty much 24x7, so something beefier would be better. I think I saw some adapters for that swifty, maybe I'll reach out to them directly. [edit: And it would run in a DX9 s...

Folding GPU Question

Hi - Okay, so I have failed miserably with the AMD CPU that I won in last years folding contest. I won't get into that other than case choice, heat, and computer location won't allow me to keep it up and running for folding. With that said I do have my WC system in the office that could probably use...

Re: New Phone - Android Or Windows??

The moment is dated and an exclusive model to Sprint. If you are set on Android and Samsung then I'd look into their "galaxy" class of phones. I know all of the major carriers in the US have their own versions and I'm sure you have a similar option over there. Personally I like a slide-out...

Re: New Phone - Android Or Windows??

I have a Samsung Moment with Android and like it. I can tell you the most frustrated I have been with any phone ever was when I had a Windows based phone. I can't speak for their latest version of mobile OS, but I'm getting mad just thinking about the last one I had from several years ago. The only ...

Re: WC advice for a LanBox Lite

Thanks for that link, Bubba. And I agree, lots of head scratching on how some of that stuff fits. The wife just gave the okay to move that box into the living room. I may see what temps are like there before doing anything radical. At the very least I want to replace the plexi. I may do that for now...
