Thanks for that, just figured that with updates to general crossfire it would go back a while. Very interesting.

Re: G-Spot Mouse Anyone?

I showed this to my roommate and he walked in, realized what it was then doubled over laughing. It is a great gag mouse at least. However i feel it is incorrectly named. It should be more like jay and silent bob and it could be a gaming mouse called the C.L.I.T. Commander.

Re: ATI CATALYST 10.2 & 10.3 Driver Preview Application Profiles

I only skimmed so shame on me if I missed it. How far back of ATI graphics card series would be served to update? Just 4XXX and 5XXX series? or back to the 2XXX and 3XXX series? or all of them? This rig will have windows 7 on it soon with an ATI x1800xt still does it support old cards or do you need...

Re: Power Supply in the Bottom of the Case

I was more worried about actual carpet as I removed the fan filter that was in the case for better air flow into psu. It has screws to go both directions, but I think since it has holes already fro air from below i'll orient it that way.

Fair enough yeah, didn't register it, I'll look for physical damage first and if none, I"ll try the oven. Thanks Apop. Figured it was worth a try. Original receipt should still be on Newegg.

XFX 8800GTS 640 PV-T80G-THD9 Warranty Issue - Lifetime?

I have one of these cards sitting here dead. I was under the impression that this card had a lifetime limited or double lifetime limed warranty. It will not show picture at startup anymore so I assume something is wrong :P. I contacted XFX with the serial # and Model number (in the title). They told...

Power Supply in the Bottom of the Case

So I bought a Coolermaster Storm Scout. Legit Reviews did a review of it . I had a few questions the most pressing would be the placement and orientation of the power supply. It seems it is designed to have the power supply draw air from the carpet as the primary option and have it's own air loop. H...

Re: CPU Coolers and Mounting Brackets

took some pictures, will post them when I get home as I can't seem to find the cord to upload them here. They are about 1cm long and the inside hole is your average case screw size I believe, you'll see better in the pictures.

CPU Coolers and Mounting Brackets

I have a Zalman CNPS 9700 as Well as a Tuniq Tower. I have all four of the screws for the Tuniq Tower, but am missing one spring and the backside mounting bracket. A friend gave it to me and he never gave me the mounting brackets and one spring got lost because they go rolling away. I was wondering,...

Re: Intel Smoke-engine demo - Windows Vista versus 7

I just like how the guys says "you can see the windows 7 machine being much smoother" (he might have said smootherer, thick accent). Either way at the time he says it you see the frame rate skip. I figure it's whenever it scales the cpu it skips, but still you don't want to see it on the s...

Re: Q1 2010 Game Survey

1.) I Preordered Bioshock II so I guess I need to put that on the list (I got a copy of bioshock I with it) 2.) Starcraft II for sure (though they left out LAN Mode :() 3.) Mass Effect II or CC4 I haven't played Dragon Age yet but I heard it was good so maybe even origins could take the three spot i...

Re: Windows 7 Installing on IDE Raid 1

It's an old server that we just re-inherited, as in we hadn't seen it in years and the people who were using it gave it back to us since we were the owners. It appears to have worked, I need to find an old pci sound card and what happened to the other two sticks of memory, but at least windows insta...

HP ProLiant CSB-6 ATA-100 IDE RAID Driver

I believe is the integrated raid controller on the old motherboard. If anyone knows how to get a driver for vista or windows 7 that would be more ideal but will the windows server 2003 driver work?

Can My Power Supply Cut It?

I have an OCZ EvoStream 600W PSU It was pretty well received in reviews int he past, but It is old like all of my hardware now. I want to run quite possibly an SLI of two 8800GTS 640MB Cards with a Q6600, 2x IDE Optical Drives (since I can still get away with it), and 4GB Of OCZ DDR2 800 2.2V Reaper...
