Re: Nintendo DS
You guys convinced me. I'm picking it up tonight. Probably grab the new Zelda game and maybe Pokemon Diamond. Then I'll go hunt around the bargain bins in WalMart for some cheap older games like the Castelvania. Thanks for the game recommendations.

Re: Nintendo DS
So you guys think it's worth 60 bucks then? My buddy bought one a couple of months ago and never took it out of the box. Wants to get rid of it. The only reason I would contemplate it would be for the rpgs. Noticed a new Zelda was released but that was about all I knew. Sounds like there a quite few...

Re: Is AMD Really a Sinking Ship? AMD Phenom Is Around The Bend
AMD was once considered better than Intel. Now Intel has pulled ahead again. The difference is Intel was bigger and better able to withstand a setback. Can AMD withstand the setback if their new line flops? I don't know. I wouldn't buy their stock though.

Nintendo DS
Anyone have a DS? I have a chance to pick one up cheap and was thinking why not. Are they any good? The only games I know for them are the Big Brain ones.

Yeah, link works here as well.
I've played just about every one of those games in the past. Some of them are pretty good games.

Re: The Next-Gen Wars
The Wii is kicking ass. Almost identical sales numbers to the 360 but been in stores a year less.
I don't understand the fascination with the Wii, but I guess a lot of people are happy with their purchase. Microsoft will have to get Japan on board if they want to remain on top in sales.

Re: Flash card readers?
Thanks for the links guys.
I'm looking for a 2 gig card reader, so those may do the trick. Just need something for added space for a sandisk mp3 player.

Flash card readers?
Can anyone recommend a good flash card reader? I need it to read sd and micro sd cards. Can be usb or pci, but I'd prefer usb. Something not too expensive though.

Re: Halo 3
I've been playing it quite a bit. Still haven't even started the single player portion though. For me, Halo is all about the multiplayer.
I have some issues with the setup of the multiplayer, just minor things like connection times, but on the whole it's excellent.

Re: Favorite FPS
I think you have to give it to the original Half Life. There are a lot of great games listed here, but Half Life was a true original. Really rejuvenated the FPS genre.

Once again I'm too late on something.
Ah well, probably wouldn't run that well on my system anyway. I need a new comp.

Re: Halo 3 live action teaser/trailer from E3
The waiting times were annoying. I never had one that took 15 minutes, but 5 minutes wasn't of the ordinary. One of the other things that annoyed me was that you couldn't stay with a group that had a similar skill set or playing style. It would always reload random players. I like the NFS model wher...

Re: THE KALASHNIKOV (AK-47) CELEBRATES 60 YEARS
I wouldn't say it is one of the best. One of the most durable? Yeah. One of the most dependable? Definitely. If you want to arm alot of fighters at a cheap cost, it is the gun to get. But there are some pretty impressive weapons out there that put it to shame in regards to accuracy, firing rate etc....

Re: HALO2 on XP (edited for these forums Done by Perfect sin)
I'm too lazy to go through that. I'll just play it on my 360. Or if I want to try out the pc version, use vmware to run vista.
It's an interesting workaround though. Leaves me scratching my head(again) about why microsoft does the things they do.

Re: PC Vs. Console
Both have their positives and negatives. I used to be a staunch supporter of pc gaming. Now I own a 360 and I'm very happy with it. That being said, if you have a good gaming rig, consoles can't touch it. The quality of visuals and wide choice of control configuration, it's the best. Won't stop me f...

Re: New engines from Id and Croteam
I really hope SS3 is better than the 2nd one. I found it to have tedious and uninteresting gameplay. It looked great but that was all it had.
