I don't know about that, Dan. He only says LCD once, right at the start and then proceeds to call it a plasma thereafter.DMB2000uk wrote: This is an LCD

Click in the screen to send keystrokes to the VM. Restart the VM and quickly press in the screen and press down, then enter.

Re: Place your bet
*scratches head* Well my mega-OC'ed 4890 gets less points than your standard 3870... Now I know that there is something wrong. Also I think my 9800M GTS should be getting more than ~500-700PPD.

Well if I lose, I'm hoping that it will be to someone who truly created an original piece. Not some copy-and-paste stuff. It kinda sucks that some people figure they can get by with the least amount of effort, grabbing stuff from other people's hard work and posting it as their own. Meanwhile, ther...

Re: Place your bet
Also you (ironchef) said that you could get 6000PPD from a GTS250. I was getting ~3000PPD MAX from my OC'ed Phenom II, OC'ed 4890, 2.26C2D, 9800M GTS AND my PS3, 24hrs a day folding! Are you saying I could triple my PPD by buying a $120 GPU? I feel seriously ripped off, or maybe that there i...

Re: Place your bet
I would say A. I think that ATi has just run away with the market with the 5000 series and nVidia has rushed the GF100 too much. Consider: ATi brought out 3(?) new graphics cards with the launch of the 5000 Series. They scored a big hit with having DX11 and amazing speeds. They were also easily comp...

Re: After the WAR
For kyle: Geokilla gave me this link a couple of weeks ago http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=4464 it has a pretty good tutorial on getting VM folding running. For Fuzzy: My PII 940 @ 3.41GHz (Most of the time) gives around 850-1000PPD. I'm not entirely sure on this figure as I fold on my Desktop ...

Re: Hey Everyone!
Welcome! I personally prefer AMD myself (although my next system is probs gonna be an i5). I totally respect your opinions that pulling down others because of what they like or dislike is amazingly immature. 3.8GHz is pretty extreme for an Athlon, did you fiddle with the voltages and/or install an a...

Re: Game Mods
Well, TF2 is made by Valve and is built on the Source engine. I don't know about TF1, but I am still, officially correct as I didn't say TF started out as a HL/CSS mod.

Try CPU-Z. It should list all of the features of your CPU.

Pretty much! You wouldn't want it on your RAM or pagefile now would you, cause that would be sloooow.

Game Mods
I just thought it would be interesting to open up a topic on game mods. Obviously some of the most popular/successful mods were the Zombie mods, especially on CoD5/WaW. Of course, the widest mod platform is Battlefield 2, with many different mods, ranging from just getting that stupid load cursor to...

Brisbane, Queensland. It's a great place to live, although I'm constantly yearning for American shops, especially for Basses and PC parts. Say I want to buy a Graphics Card, which, in the US, costs $100, it costs around $200 here. SSDs don't come any cheaper than $139 for 64GB for the bottom of the ...

Re: HELP with LG LCD 42" tv
Is this on Digital signal? I know that our Sony 40" gets something similar, but only on analogue signals, it's normal and just general signal noise. Have a look through the options, see if there is some sort of noise filter or somesuch. Apart from that, I'm unsure unless it's analog signal, and...

Ok, I will get that down in a couple of minutes.
*EDIT*: CPU-Z and AMD Overdrive showing 440MHz. I am going to reboot now to see if I can fix some of the settings.

Nope. As a general rule, G-RAM doesn't change speeds. The number will be megabytes ie: you are using 300mb of of G-RAM.

Re: After the WAR
You might be able to set it as SMP, but then it's so much faster (especially on AMD) to run Linux VM. Try going into the config, and under additional (client?) parameters type in -smp 4, or if you have an i7 with virtualization/hyper-threading (whichever one gives you virtual strings) type in -smp 8...
