Absolute freeze/lock with OpenGL only
I have a 9800GX2 as my primary graphics card. I've posted here about my CAD application, Rhino 3D, not running very well because it renders its content on my secondary 7900GTX card even though my 9800GX2 is the primary. It seems to affect OpenGL only, as when I activate the DirectX9 plugin for Rhino...

You mean the LPR port monitor? I tried that, no go.DaddyRabbit wrote:Wouldn't installing the LPR components on the Vista box help with this?

Re: Bonjour, Vista Business and Mac OS X 10.4.11 Printer Sharing
I found the answer to my own question after Googling around for weeks. http://blog.codefront.net/2007/02/05/sharing-a-usb-printer-from-mac-os-x-to-windows/ I quote (in case the source ever disappears): "First point of reference: Print from Windows XP to a shared Mac printer tip on Mac OS X Hint...

Bonjour, Vista Business and Mac OS X 10.4.11 Printer Sharing
I work in an office at my university. My personal machine is a Dell laptop running Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1 (32-bit). The office machine is a PowerMac G4 with Mac OS X "Tiger" (10.4.11). The printer attached to the Mac computer is an HP DeskJet 840C using USB. I am trying to p...

Steam + Crysis Warhead = RRRGGH!
Why oh why does Steam keep showing Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars at "100% - Ready" then when I try to play them it switches to "Updating - 0%" and never seems to finish updating? What the hell is going on? No, there are no Steam client updates available (I checked).

Re: September 11, 2001 - seven years later
I work in the travel industry, and suprisingly few people have mentioned the terror attacks this year. Usually I would get a few people who would think twice about flying today, but it doesn't seem to be true this year. Thankfully fear is passing. We mustn't forget, but we also should not become ir...

Re: Vista Business and Mac OS 10.3.9 Printer Sharing
Well, I sort of solved my problem. I made sure the Mac's and PC's workgroups matched, made sure Windows could see the Mac, then browsed Network. I told it to Connect to the printer on the Mac. Obviously, there was no printer driver installed, so I selected Generic -> MS Publisher Color Printer. It w...

Nope. It's an HP DeskJet 840C... USB (and probably parallel) only.

I've googled for hours. Nothing (including your link) has produced anything any different from what I've described (it installs, but I can't actually print to it).DMB2000uk wrote:You tried googling and trying things like this?

Re: Woohoo, faster internets!
Our university internet sucks, because we have 45Mbit serving 2000 students and their attendant faculty/staff. Of course, the sorority girls would fire up LimeWire and some of the frat boys hit up porn sites, then there were all the YouTube/Veoh/Hulu users and the connection was running at 85%+ util...

Re: Vista Business and Mac OS 10.3.9 Printer Sharing
can you try just installing the software on your mac? The reason I have my laptop is because it allows me to work on my office tasks in Microsoft Word 2007 (which is so much easier to use than Mac Office 2004) while someone else uses the Macintosh computer, thus doubling office productivity. I need...

Absolutely nothing. That's the problem. The printer icon in the Vista tray never appears, and nothing comes out of the printer.

Vista Business and Mac OS 10.3.9 Printer Sharing
My laptop that I use for schoolwork and university payroll work runs Windows Vista Business SP1 with all the latest patches blah blah blah. The office I work in at my university has an old Macintosh computer running Mac OS 10.3.9 (I verified this in the control panel). I did some Googling and found ...
