Re: Watching The 2010 Masters Tournament in 3D with 3D Vision

Cool...I didn't know they were broadcasting video feeds in 3D already. Thought it was just a gaming thing. Wish I had a setup where I could evaluate a broadcast for myself! Your local BestBuy might have some demos set up. I know nvidia has some 3Dplay tour going right now where they demo it: http:/...

Re: Watching The 2010 Masters Tournament in 3D with 3D Vision

I found myself watching it too even though I find Golf boring. lol.

This isn't the cyan/red 3D. Stereo3D doesn't have that color limitation that Anaglyph 3D has. Yes it has been around for a while, and its been used in medical 3D imaging but like SSDs are now entering mainstream use.

Re: Which would you rather have on your next system

It looks like people don't think Stereoscopic 3D is any good. Let me tell you, its a much better gain dollar for dollar than SLI/Crossfire. lol The only downside is you will get low frames if you have a weak card as it has to render full resolution images twice, effectively cutting your fps in half....

Re: New Oppo BluRay player plays MKVs!

Oppo is high quality stuff hence the price.

LG has a much cheaper offering with BD370 if you want MKV playback on your BD player (it also supports DivX) and aren't willing to spend more than $200.

I wonder when they are going to get that fixed via drivers. Something I've been working on the past several day ;) Expect an update soon. sweet! Thanks. I heard a lot of the pre-orders are already sold out. I'm still not sure if I should get one. I am really tempted because of the 1.5 to 2x 3D visi...

Re: XFX Will Not Offer GeForce 400 Series GPUs

yep, this was a rumor a few months ago as well as two other nvidia partners possibly not carrying Fermi and one of those two completely closing up shop. I don't know how valid the other ones are, but it looks like the XFX one is true so far.

Re: New Gaming PC

I don't think ATI is going to drop prices as they don't really need to to compete anymore. They are selling quite healthily and there is no volume problem. Not to mention there are no mainstream counter parts from Nvidia.

Thanks for testing dual monitors as well. People think the high load temps is bad, check out the idle temps on dual monitors!

Re: Which would you rather have on your next system

I have 3D Vision now and I love it. Plus, there is now 3D Vision Surround (although its only in SLI but it is backwards compatible with GTX2** cards via latest drivers, 3D Vision is pretty intensive anyawy that you'd need two cards if you want to have PhysX as well).

I dropped off after the 3rd season. This season was actually alright (except for the whole Starbuck sub-plot which was dumb) but I eventually lost interest as well because Jack wasn't on the screen for half the time. lol.
