I've had my XBX2 up and running now for almost 2 months and have had no problems. I'd use this mobo agian. Mildly OCing my E6700 to 3.0ghz. Very stable.

Just flashed mine and don't notice anything unusual (good thing). I've been fortunate as my mobo has been trouble free thus far.

I never even tried the stock heatsink/fan combo. I too had read that it was inadequate and based on my results with my AMD 4800X2 (939 socket) I installed a Zalman 9500 and never looked back. Runs nice and cool, didn't use the speed control, just hooked it up to the mobo fan controler.

You can try this, it worked for me. Everybody has different results. If you are uncertain of you abilities, hold off until you feel more confident. Making changes in BIOS can wreak havoc on your PC if you aren’t careful. 1. Move BIOS jumper to post setting, then disable 'Failsafe Watchdog' & r...

I just ordered an EVGA 8800GTS 640mb, so I've been following this post closely
Does anybody know if the problems dgood is having are driver issues? I see on NVIDIA site that the 8800 series requires different drivers that all their other cards.

Thanks for the tip and the link. Good price too. Should have bought that one for $20. more than I paid. Where do I find the UL file number for the Corsair PS you recommend?

Guess I didn't think it was a 'cheapie'..... it is a name brand as opposed to house brand, had read some good reviews about stable voltage with it and nice cables. Set me back just under $100. Before this one I used Antec True Power 2.0 450w, but PS calculator showed me needing more with my old AMD ...

True, like dicecca112 said, I'm relying on Intel Desktop Utility to provide voltage measurements.
With regards to Mad_Goku, I am trying to understand if it is the total of ALL 12v rails (35A) or the measurement of the highest 12v rail (18A).

Ok, so now I'm really confused. One for one against. I was under the impression that the total 12v rail amperage equaled 35A (18A, 16A, 1A) so I'd have enough to run it. Kind of hate to upgrade PS right now since I just bought the Raidmax RX-630A two months ago when I built my new system, but I dont...

Enough Power For 8800GTS??

I'm thinking about upgrading to a e-GeForce 8800GTS 640mb via the EVGA step up program. I am running a Raidmax 630w that specs at 18a on the 12v. EVGA says needs 26A on the 12v. I have D975XBX2 with extra molex plugged in to mobo (instructions say this is for PCI-E cards in excess of 75w along with ...

Glad to hear it worked. I should have booted in to bios to verify the wording you would see, but it appears you figured it out. My bad. Link shows how settings on FSB relate to memory speed. Multiplier is 10 for E6700, so use drop down to input 10. Now look at Ref Freq MHz & Mem Freq MHz and to ...

You may want to go in to POST bios and disable failsafe watchdog. (If new OC doesn’t boot you will have to move the jumper to post again to clear settings) My limited experience and things I’ve read on this site have shown that watchdog messes with OCing. Reboot and go back in to bios and set ra...

This is my first RAID build, so I'm a newbie at it. By running RAID 0 it speeds up write times & I believe read times as well. From all the reading I did the Intel Matrix offered best of both worlds. Can run RAID 1 (mirroring) and RAID 0 (striping) with only 2 HD's and have extra bonus of RAID 5...

I'm running Matrix RAID (0, 1) with 2 Maxtor Diamond max 300gb drives and HD Tach tells me it's seeing 244.4mb/s burst, 124mb/s read running Windows XP Home w/SP2.
What RAID configurations are you using?

Could be one of 2 things. Like FZ1 said, may need newer PS with 24 pin connector or could be CPU overheating. Is your CPU heatsink fan spinning?
