It's a bit low tech in that you'll have to open up each users EOC page and copy their days output to the spreadsheet, bu...

Re: MS Security Essentials?

What OS are you running? I can't replicate this on Windows 7, both on my fresh install on my BootCamped Mac Pro, and a Virtual Copy that I have used for months.

but my battery is dead after just a year. Isn't that the case with most laptops? Then they want $100 to replace the battery... It's almost as bad as buying a new inkjet printer instead of buying new ink cartridges. Its not the norm my Dell Laptop laptop lasted three years and my macbook two plus. J...

Re: NAS Question - RAID JBOD

JBOD is just a bunch of disks, ie no raid, just like plugging those drives into a motherboard, they all show up as seperate disks. Some disk enclosures have a BIG/LARGE setting where they combine all the disks together into one large "RAID". There is no redundency in an instanace like that.

Re: Intel 6 Series Chipset Recall From a Fanboi Point of Vie

There is a reason they are called fanbois. Intel owned up to the problem and took steps to fix it. In my book that is the right thing. I'm sure they notified all resellers of the issue, and if the resellers are still selling faulty products thats not Intels fault.

1. Unnoticeable in my living room. I only really noticed it when it was on my desk for testing, and in that case I was building the array, so all the drives were cranking at once. I could see the lights flashing in the bedroom at night. 2. I'm partial to the WD Drives I used in the review. Any 5400r...
