Re: HTPC build (pics coming soon)

I use CCCP and CoreAVC codecs. CCCP does mkv files but CoreAVC does a better job at playing h.264 clips.

Re: CD drive disapeared?

My fix I found this sweet software called team viewer and had the user just run it. This is the easiest remote software I have used. Anyways I found that it had code 39 on the drives. Googled it and found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060 Followed the manual instructions, restarted and bad...

I'm Coming

Was in Houston this past weekend and picked up two WD3200AAKS single platter drivers for 49.99. I should be up and running this weekend. I will have a 9600GT and 8800 GTS 512 setups. :supz:

Re: CD drive disapeared?

You know I just built a PC for someone that is having the same issues. Probably not related but I thought it was weird enough to post. I hate troubleshooting over the phone so I'm just getting the computer back. With the little troubleshooting I did we determined that it is showing up in the BIOS an...

Re: Home Network Issue

I looked at the manual and saw in the advance tab under routing their is an option for for interfaces on the bottom if dynamic is chosen. That might help.

Now the Vonage device: If it has a DHCP server in it, leave it turned on as we'll be using this as the DHCP server for you LAN as it's the closest to the switch. Make sure the DHCP server's IP scope is unique from the cable modems. Say have the cable modem on 192.168. 1 .1-254 with 192.168.1.0 bein...

Re: New Computer purchase, please comment.

You can pick up a VelociRaptor WD1500HLFS for 159.99 after a rebate. The 640 gig WD WD6400AAKS drives are pretty good too. I read somewhere that the WD6401AALS is even better.

I just picked up SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 and couldn't be happier.

Re: Legit Reviews Breaks Into The Top 100 Folding Teams Drawing

Holy Moly I won. I've been planning to fold but Far Cry 2 and a house remodel has kept me pretty busy. Oh yea and the wife takes some time too. How would a overclocked E4400 2.6 and a 8800 GTS 512 do in folding? :)

Re: "Hands untied" build.

I read a review were Q8200 was at the same level as the Q6600. I don't know if it's available in England. I'm building something similar for someone that does basic web design and surfs the internet and I got him a HD 4650. The way I figured is that if needs it we can upgrade it then. That is a pret...

Someone mentioned early to ride the buses. It doesn't show the bus station in the cease fire town but it's there.

Re: Get your 9600 GSO's while they're hot!

Dear Nvidia, I must admit that I have been quite a video card whore over the past couple years, going back and forth between you and ATI. I may have dipped my pen in Intel's ink a couple times. My promiscuity has gone from a ATI 7200, 9800 Pro, 1900XT to a Nvidia 8800 GTS 320, 8800 GTS 512 to my bes...

Re: PC for my aunt

780G + 4850E would be mine. I have two HTPC built with this setup and it softly chews and spits out any HD files I have. SeaSonic have some pretty good and quite power supplies. That what I use.
