What about DFI??? Is there a mistake is the test setup info??? About the board.. it's good... but... for those SLI and now CFire fans lacks the 2nd PCIe x16 slot... to these guys there is the Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 with two PCIe x16 slots (one at x16 the other x4 when CrossFire enabled)... Non the less...

I believe is more than enough... Just for comparison see this watt chart for 8800GTX http://www.xbitlabs.com/misc/picture/?src=/images/video/msi8800gts-640/8800gtx_full.gif&1=1 Although you connect the card to the 12v rail if it need more power it goes to other rails... so I believe 480w PS is s...

As you may have notice in the review the people that done it couldn't Oc via software they had to do it manually... I don't know if there are now any ATI software to juice this card... but you can try the most common ones...

If you are planing to use FSX then none of these would do the work... if palying with good game defs... by the way... FSX is trully a frame sucker because a QX+GTX with almost MAX definitions does in average 25-27 frames... but for now the 1950pro is the choice

Read this part of a review on this card

One other thing... see this one... by the looks the cooler can handle the OC (that isn't very gainful... and probably it as to be done manually!?!) http://www.gecube.com/products-detail.php?prod_cat_pid=9&prod_cat_id=166&prod_id=65116 the down side is that it as only 256Mb GDDR3... so the 51...

The load of the CPU... is an AGP bus "problem" it just doesn't have the BW needed for the job...
About OC... it's best to change the original for a better cooler because the original isn't very good... and 480w is quite sufficient 8)

On AGP slot... one of the best... When compared to the PCIe 1950Pro it's better (not by much)... the only down side is the H.264 decoding where the GP bus doesn't take it to well and calls the help of the CPU to do some work... but I say... go... and buy it :finga: :finga:

And another thing... when we read the press release we must read well...

"...combined with a 65nm process..." 2900XT is not 65nm build so... NO UVD

such a big history about the lack of UVD... when I'm going to buy a Graphics card I'm not thinking if it has UVD enabled or not... I'm thinking in performances numbers like price vs frames, like benchmarks... The lack of UVD gives a lit more burden to CPU... well bad luck to the CPU :axe: after all ...
