Dan, would it reduce the noise if you isolated the pump from the case... with some type of foam or something in between?

Couldn't find anything in the catalog at the local shop.

I did manage to borrow a step drill and start modding my Antec 900 a bit though. :)

8800GT GPU1 P5900 420pt WU 2763ppd 2m 11s per step

8800GT GPU2 P5903 1680pt WU 3895ppd 6m 12s per step

Looks like GPU1 (top card) is sitting at 51 deg C and GPU2 (bottom card) is sitting at 47 deg C on the current work units.

Re: How Many PCs Do You Own?

I have enough that I had to make a spreadsheet of the everyday computers.

5 that see everyday use (and Fold).
A dell from a client that my son uses
probably close to a dozen sitting around that are old and still work, or are within 1 part of working.

Re: State of Our Folding

I am running again. Just checked my stats and saw this: 03.20, 6am 3,360 2 Did I get 2 WUs totalling 3,360 points? Yes, the WU's I referred to that are taking 14hrs to complete are worth 1680 pts each! Another low point for me...This weekend I'm moving my computer room downstairs so I will probably...

Re: Updated L4D Server, but who cares?

every time I tried to get in the server it was full... though that was a few weeks ago. last 2 weeks, I've had other things going on, and this week, tonight was the first time I've been on the computer all week. Hopefully, I can get some work finished up this weekend and get back to gaming, at least...

<-- still here kicking as much ass as the current work units will let me with 5 videos cards 24/7. In november, those 5 video cards were 26-27k easy, and now you see I can't even keep it at 15k. Work units are changing for everyone, that's why we aren't getting passed left and right. Obviously, we a...

I've had some crazy *&& units this week. Fired up FahSpy just now, and the fun continues... looks like I have ALL 1680pt GPU units. Ranging from 5ish to 7ish minutes per step. P5900, 5902 and 5903 right now. Project 5900 This project is a constant-temperature simulation of the alpha/beta pro...

Re: FahMon is Yellow

somewhere in the settings you can set it to calculate from the last step only. That would sometimes fix the problem for me. Eventually, i couldn't use FahMon because of the crashes. FahSpy works great for me if you have to abandon Mon.

Don't expect a lot of communication but other than that the service was fine. No notice they received it (tracking took care of that), no notice it was fixed or had shipped back. It just arrived 9 days after I shipped it with nothing regards to the repair at all. I wondered if they even did anything...

Re: Reciever-> Amp?-> Speakers

Nothing wrong with Sony receivers. Obviously, they aren't top of the world, but mine does just fine with my Polk Audio speakers to satisfy my tastes. Of course, I avoid listening to really high end stuff because if I actually were to hear a difference (~ 10-15% hearing loss in each ear), I can't aff...

I don't really find that any Steam game stresses any card I play them on. I'd definitely pick up Crysis or Crysis Warhead if you are really interested in testing the new card.

I couldn't stand to have some of your cases. I don't even have my HDD activity and Power LEDs hooked up and I used electrical tape to cover up the glowing X-Fi logo on my sound card. To each their own. If we all liked the same thing the world would be a pretty damn boring place. My 900 came with th...
