Re: components price ratio: mainboard / video / memory / cpu
OK an update. I have a 15' LCD 1024x768 which I'll be using for a while with the new box but probably will upgrade to something bigger. I have settled for Intel E2180 CPU. I was thinking about 8600GT or Radeon 1950PRO for a video card but now I'm considering something better, 9600GT 512 or 8800GS 38...

chipset/mainboard for overclocking e2180
Hi I'm buying a new computer and I settled for E2180 as a CPU choice. I'm going to overclock it. Video card is probably going to be 8600GT 512M DDR3 or maybe 9600GT 512M DDR3. Does it make sense to go for P35 chipset or would Intel 965p / nForce 650i be enough? What proven, solid, good for overclock...

Re: 8600GT(S) or Radeon 1950PRO or...?
PALIT XpertVision GeForce 8800GS, 384MB DDR3 (192bit), PCI-E - 383 PALIT XpertVision GF 9600GT Super, 512MB DDR3 (256bit), PCI-E, HDTV/2xDVI, BOX - 423 8800gs is cheaper but it has less ram and with these cards it may make a difference. Besides, there's this 256/192 bit thing, I don't know if it mat...

components price ratio: mainboard / video / memory / cpu
Hi I would like your opinion on what are the optimal price ratios for a low-to-midrange system fair for gaming: processor video card main board memory I mean, if you buy a 100$ cpu and 100$ mainboard and 100$ video card and 100$ memory I'd say video card is too weak... Or more specifically, say I'd ...

Re: 8600GT(S) or Radeon 1950PRO or...?
Yes, Poland is the answer :) I am planning to spend 1500-2000 PLN [1EURO = 3,5PLN, 1USD = 2,25PLN] with little or no recycling except the mouse, speakers and the LCD which I think I'll upgrade anyway a bit later. 9600GTs start at ~450, I'll consider it, you think I would be able to build a good comp...

8600GT(S) or Radeon 1950PRO or...?
Hi I am buying a new computer :) and I would like your opinion on which card to choose: 8600GT or 1950PRO. GeForce is a bit cheaper, here are example prices (not in dollars): PALIT XpertVision GeForce 8600GT Super,512MB DDR3(128bit),PCI-E,TV/DUALDVI,BOX - 288 PALIT XpertVision GeForce 8600GTS, 512MB...
