Sounds like a "Read Only" virus has hit your computer. That must be nasty.

St. Louis - Meat thief charged after being shot by bystander

Got to reading this in the national news and found out the event took place in St. Louis. Good for the bystander being able to help out. Just thinking a little while back about someone on the hood of a car and was killed. The bystander may have saved that store managers life after all. http://www.ka...

Re: 10 facts about why AMD Processors are great

When looking for a laptop, AMD was the only choice for me. It was a little hard to find vs. the amount of Intel offerings last year.

#11 The AMD FireStream 9170 provides the industry's first double-precision floating point capability on a GPU. Should be a good folder. =D>

DPi = Dot per square inch

The more dots, the more resolution. The more dots, the more ink used.

Re: Anything to stop Spam emails?

A few points on how to prevent SPAM from knowing your address. - Don't enter a contest with your main e-mail. That list is re-sold to the SPAM world. - Don't post your e-mail address on-line anywhere. - Don't share your e-mail address on Facebook, MySpace and the like. - Treat you e-mail address nea...

Re: Need Recommendations: 120mm fan >90 CFM

Nidec has always been a good 120mm fan for the server units in the financial service with very little down time. You best bet is the V12E series. Not only will the CFM be of benefit, but the key is the static pressure rating too. Keep the power rating under 1-Amp, else your electric and PSU will be ...

Re: Color Laser Printers - Educate Me.

Make sure you get a color laser jet that can default to gray-scale when the a color is used up vs. not printing anything at all while asking to replace the cartridge.

We have an HP 1018. It's not color, but sure beats the cost of those tiny inkjet cartridges.

Re: Find Me At Quakecon 2009 and You Might Find An AMD Phenom II

I'm flying home with a box of processors and it looks like LR will be having a weekly CPU drawing. Nate, having something like that would boost the enthusiast gamer industry. What good is a CPU without a MOBO, memory, graphics card and a new PSU? Your AMD supply can act like a major stimulus. =D>

Re: AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition Processor Review

Nice and balanced review Nate! =D> Pushing the 4Ghz limit with air cooling for an X4 is impressive. Going the extra 200Mhz is a bonus. The numbers on this processor are inching towards the Intel crop at the top, but isn't quiet an i7 jumper yet. Still an impressive AMD CPU. It's nice to see the Exce...

Re: Verbatim Announces TUFF-’N’-TINY Line of USB Drives

Verbatim is still kicking around! Great. :) I remember my very first Verbatim product I had ever used. It was an 8" floppy disk. The thing was gigantic. Now take a look at the 4Gb and 8Gb penny sized devices. Their products are dependable too. Technology has come a long way for Verbatim...

Nate, NASA is jealous. You are only one person with that many monitors while the entire mission control must share all of their three big screens. :)
