If you are referring to your tax refund, it's not Uncle Sam's money, it yours that you've been letting him hold over the course of a year. Having 2 of these would make an insane gaming rig but the cost just not justify it IMO. I'm usually the one to buy the bigger ticket items but I'll pass. My GTX5...

Yeah, the first generation SSDs were crap compared to what is out now. The 830 is a great drive so you are in good shape.

Windows limits USB 3.0 speeds...I don't recall the specifics (something about sequential file size transfer limits) but you need to use turbo software or tweak the registry to unlock the full potential. Google it a bit, i'm sure you'll find the explanation pretty easily.
