Re: SATA drivers

Definitely not ATX standard replaceable.

You'll need to get a replacement part through Dell or another reseller. It's going to be anywhere from $250-500 to replace.

Re: Thermaltake Element V PC Case First Fermi GPU Certified

wow fermi must be one hot card for nvidia to require special cases. Hope we get the performance to match such drastic measures. This is another example of Nvidia's marketing efforts. If they designed a card too hot for the ATX standards, the first thing they could do to avoid bad publicity is to st...

Re: Upgrade to 8800m GTX or New Alienware?

Hey squares! Making the decision on the best upgrade path can be a bear but I'm pretty sure most people here would agree when I say it's time for a new laptop 8-[ The 8xxx series is already 2 generations old and the money spent on an upgrade could easily make a dent in a good gaming laptop. Who you ...

Re: Unigine 'Heaven' - The First DirectX 11 Benchmark

Hi kyrill! Sounds like you need to update your DirectX definitions, which is easy enough to do!
Go to Microsofts DirectX page and download the latest updater. Should patch you up just fine :)

Re: WD Hard Drives: Caviar Blue OR Caviar Black OR ...

If you're planning on using this as your daily (performance) rig then go with the black drive as it is Western Digital's performance line, the only better drives from them would be their VelociRaptors... and those are much, much more expensive.

Re: Help With Case Selection!

If you have need for a budget case that performs on par with an Antec 300 then I'd recommend hec/CompuCase's 6X gaming cases. They're well-built and have different configurations with different amounts of 120mm fans to keep your rig cool. We use them at the shop where I work and they're a solid choi...

Well my living situation is kinda sketchy. My dad moved out a month ago and I don't think it would be wise to rack up a bill with him looking for a job right now, so I'm back to 0-4k ppd for a while :(

Re: Ideas for next F@H war.

I think that the level of revisions that some of you are recommending are short sighted and a bit selfish. The idea was to fold and fold a lot. Prizes were a perk, not the purpose to the competition, and if people want to fold they will regardless of if it's the popular/potentially profitable thing ...

Seagate also has an acronis-based software set, but you'll have to look into it to see if it will do exactly what you need

how bout snow removal.. we got dumped with another 7" last night. Initial thought from having lived where we get snow MAYBE once a year is that I'd want to trade snow levels, but having had a taste of blizzard weather in Michigan before, I feel your pain but really i would have loved to see so...
