Re: Do routers REALLY need this?
Yea, not "needed" but sometimes people do things just for the heck of it to show that it could be done LOL

Maybe take a look at Thermaltakes NIC L32, install dual fan in push/pull configuration to increase airflow through the cooler.

Re: ASUS PB287Q 28-in 4K Single Stream 60Hz Monitor Review
Love the monitor! Just got mine today and it has a perfect picture even at the default settings. Might have to play around a little with the calibration sometime but right now, doesn't seem to need it. WOW 4K is incredible! Wonder how good those "Mastered in 4K" blu-rays are any good... Wh...

Re: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 MB DOA
I have two ASRock boards currently in use, one is 3 years old, the other about six months. My luck with them has been great thankfully, sucks there are so many issues with their customer service. As for bent pins, I have a MSI board where the USB 3 header had a badly bent pin, and when I went to str...

Re: No more contests?
Yea, contests are great, but as Nate said, lots of issues and being a pain in the rear. I've always thought the word search through reviews are good, gets people to read the reviews (yes I know there's ways to bot those searches). As for those whiners, just have to specify how things are shipped, co...

Re: Really Good/Low Cost Bookshelf Speakers
I see the Monoprice set is getting good reviews from a few places, for the price difference (about $100) It's hard to decide LOL Still have time to decide, going to look into building some shelves this summer and figured replace the floor speakers with bookshelf ones to conserve space and look bette...

Re: Really Good/Low Cost Bookshelf Speakers
Thanks for the thoughts, never heard of Martin Logan before, will have to check into it. I've had Sony speakers before and they do a decent job, just not sure on the bass reproduction without a sub, so would still have to add a sub there. With the ML set it's a full system. Also found out when recon...

Really Good/Low Cost Bookshelf Speakers
Looking to replace a pair of floor standing Polk Audio speakers, think they were like $150 each on sale with a pair of bookshelf speakers. Just started thinking about it, so not done any research yet, was just curious if anybody had any suggestions? What I'm looking for is recommendations on: 2 Book...

Re: Need Help Choosing Fans
Stay away from Enermax Magma fans...I bought three of them 8 months ago, and all three started making loud noises about 5-6 months after being installed. Great fans when they were running smoothly. Contacted Enermax, sent receipt and got nothing back (really wasn't expecting anything for $12 fans). ...

In Origin right click the game and Check for Updates, or Repair Game. Last ditch is maybe uninstall the game and re-download it.

Re: Finally my much needed upgrade!
What are you going to use to cool the processor? Keep in mind that Haswell is the hottest running of the 3 i series processors (Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, Haswell). With that said though I think you might be low balling yourself with 4GHz. My 2600K will do 4.5GHz with stock voltages. Yea, my 3570k g...

Re: Win8.1 down to Win7
Yup, anything cushiony is bad for laptops...blocking vents (side and bottom) and possibly putting tension on the various connectors... I told them after they got their last laptop, if something happens that I can point to that then they're on their own. hehehehe they've all been very careful not to ...

Re: Finally my much needed upgrade!
CM N600 but you'll have to buy the 200m fan CM HAF (most will allow 200m fans on side panel) TT Armor Revo (again have to buy the 200m fan) I'd have to look around for others, sadly don't think they're all that common on the side panel. One thing I would caution on your build, is the ASRock MB. I've...
