Actually, thinking about mice and what they can do to electrical wiring... they could potentially wreak havoc on an aircraft. Granted it wouldn't be immediate...

My buddy contacted Tiger and they're drop shipping him a new board. Hopefully not the same thing, as that wouldn't solve any problems. Thanks to everyone for their help.

If Vista is chewing up half of your available RAM, then it sounds like that (at least for now) it's still using the flat memory model (OS/2).

[Edit: I posted this before reading up on it a bit more, ignore my crazy talk]

If you were 10 you might try to use this article. http://www.kaboose.com/features/healthykids/video-games-smart.html I have yet to read anything that says violent games "will" have an adverse effect. Everything always says "may" or "could"... then the media jumps on it ...

I would definitely go with anything 8ms or below, especially if you are playing shooters. I'm still using a 16ms 19", but all I play is WoW these days. If I throw on HL2 it really stinks. I wish my old p95f+ hadn't died :(
I'm waiting for Vanguard, my do an upgrade at that time.

If he bought the board new it should have the right BIOS in it by now! That was my initial thought, but you never know how long it sat on the shelf. I am still waiting to hear back regarding the board from a friend, but I will probably go ahead and pull the Celeron out of my MAME box and ship it. T...

New guy

Hello. I have been building PCs since early 97. I read a lot of advice in the various forums on the net, but rarely give any. Thought I would try to join and see if I can help someone out. Been gaming since 1984, when my parents bought an Apple IIE+ (the plus was the upgrade from 64K to 128K!). Oh y...

Unable to POST - D975XBXLKR with E6300

Hello, I am really scratching my head with this one. A buddy of mine in Denver is putting a rig together and it will not POST. I tried talking him through some troubleshooting over the phone but could not come up with anything conclusive. Hardware (all components are new): MB: Intel - D975XBXLKR -- ...
