overclocking the i5 750

Hi there! I'm building a new rig for my son, changed my mind from an amdx6 to a intel i5 750 and my son wanted the gtx 470. I'm using an older inwin case, adding some more airflow, but so fare only the stock cooler for the cpu. Can I push this cpu any further on this cooler? Was thinking on a mild o...

5770 crossfire amdx6 rig?

Hi there everybody! I'm planning a rig for my son. Been reading about the 5770's in crossfire. The review on them in cf was rather slim. Crossfire framerates missing in several games/benchmarks. Tough, it seems these in pairs outmaches the single 5870 ??? At least in 1920*1020? What would you recome...

Re: XFX 5770

It really comes down to this; what are you using your pc for? Gaming ; its good, if you are not going for the highest settings, and have a large screen. Online gaming is less demanding, the priority is performance and speed over details. Office /work ; its more than good enough! Go for the 5750! And...

Re: XFX 5770

in terms of performance, even the 4870 is slightly better due to more memory bandwidth eventhough it has less computing power. I would go for a 5850, but if you buy one 5770 now, then you could buy anotherone (when the prices drop) and run them in cross fire. That would boost your performance nicel...

Re: Recovering the drive?

Nope. Once you format a drive, its contents are unrecoverable. I'm sorry but once you format a drive, that data is gone for good. Hi there, I'm not a pro, but this is not the truth ! There are companies that does reconstructing of data for a living, and data is almost always just overwritten and mo...

Re: Data recovery, I need some serious help!!!

Ive done something like that, delivered the hd to pc store, the morons formatted it! Downloaded recuva and voila! Found most of the files. You must always run recuva on an other pc, mounting the hd crashed(or what ever) as a second drive(or external). Did you do that? Mine worked great in Vista, don...
