dxdiag

Call up your buddy and tell him to type dxdiag in the run prompt. Have him read you the mobo manufacturer and model # off the first page it displays. Then google or ask us which interface is on the board.

If your friend can wait, then give em CPU-Z as Dicecca112 noted. :)

35th fastest?

Thanks for the reply man. I still can't believe it's 35th rank. What the hell are people doing on the 34 faster systems? It gets better?! *runs off to check* Talk about extreme performance/cost. e6300 has less cache right? But similar speed processors seem to be twice the price or more. You gained a...

performance questions

Nearly 500MHz bus is awesome! Over a stock of 266MHz x 7?! Nice job Apoptosis!!! I'm rusty on overclocking procedures and getting the most from an overclocked processor. What memory did you put in there? Is this correct? 500Mhz x 4 (modern intel cpus are quad pumped) = 2000 rated FSB then slap in: P...

BIOS preventing boot/display due to no CPU fan?

Wow I hope you figure it out. Here is a thought, does the mobo require that a CPU fan is plugged into the correct mobo fan header for power? Last AMD system I had did the exact things you mention until I smacked myself and realized its BIOS or a setting in the BIOS prevented boot until it could &quo...

recommend tiny distro?

Hey folks, Debating firing up some older extra hardware for folding around here if I can easily find a suitable linux distro that doesn't require a hard drive. Either a CD or Floppy bootable linux with F@H on it ready to go would be nice. Thoughts? Recommendations? I used the linux router project ru...

Guilty of playing a lot of the might and magic series in the mid 90s. Older d&d games on 5.25 floppys before that on an apple IIgs :P

Some of you played through twice? Sounds good, I'll check it out.
