I've been using these sticks pretty heavy the past two weeks. My results from benchmarking are actually quite a bit lower than what I see from actual consumers on forums. Most are hitting DDR600, but I topped out at DDR584. I played HL2, CS:Source, and Rome: Total War for hours at those specs withou...

all I have to say is that I'm not going any further into it, because I do not feel it is a necessary or relational topic to this specific forum, I just wanted to make it clear that you attract more bees with honey than with vinegar...it's fine to give good positive suggestions and just merely corre...

I had a 146 Opty. It was doing about 2.5 at deafult vcore, no more, so I sold it. I sold it for 2 reasons: 1. Prices were getting ready to drop, and I did not want to lose a ton of money to sell it later and buy a new one 2. The one I had was not a great clocker at default vcore, my X2 3800+ does 2...

Yeah, they are hitting 2.7-2.8GHz on air, but at fairly high temps and with a lot of V-Core at the upper end....they don't seem to be scaling as well as the initial release. For the money you are probably better off with the 3700+, or even the 3500+. However, the new dual core Opterons are showing t...

Sennheiser all the way..... I just tried 4 different sets, and these are the most comfortable best sounding headphones I've ever used. SENNHEISER PC 155 USB PC Headset - Retail at Newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16826106381 I have also heard very good things about the 1...

I think the reason no one jumped on it is because the hype died out pretty quickly. I know you and I talked about them via PM, but the truth is after the intial release, the quality and O/C ability really dropped off, along with a serious price increase and lack of availability with vendors...and th...

yeah, MOSFETs are the least of my worries as well. btw, it's off-topic somewhat, but I have a goal I think is achieveable and I am willing to try it: 3 GHz over Exos2 in the Tsunami. I will initially use air (probably SI-120), then later go for the system. I know now you have your X2 4800+ @ 3.1, b...

nicely done....but a complete waste to be honest....decent air flow is all the mosfets need, the cooling kit would have to be super high end to make up for the poor flow through all of that, and to be honest, the only components that you should really W/C are the CPU, GPU, and chipset....at most. Bu...

You are probably right.... but I think that would be a horrible waste on their part. how are you going to seperate pricing on something like that, especially considering the performance will not be very much different between the two CPUs. I think AMD would be better served sticking with the FX line...

I know nothing more than most..... but AMD has said on several occasions that the FX line would stay single core and be aimed at the high end gaming set.... while the AMD64 line would gradually shift to dual core. Thinking about it logically, with the O/Cs that people are getting from the 4800, how ...
