Re: Sooo... one night on the test bench
Wow...I'm going to first say that I'm really glad I don't have to pay that power bill! Second, I'd think atleast running dual 5970's if not more...maybe even 295's?

Re: Finally a Power Outlet With Built in USB Ports
"Tech Support, my name is Andy, how may I help you? "My wall computer isn't working" "I'm sorry, what do you mean by wall computer?" "I plugged my monitor, keyboard, and mouse into my wall, and they aren't doing anything." "That is becasue you forgot to plug ...

Re: Finally a Power Outlet With Built in USB Ports
Now that's an awesome little invention. I'll have to look in to getting one or two of those for my Home Office. Only thing is there's no surge protection for the USB ports, so you might want to becareful with not keeping it plugged in during a storm! Anyone say FryPod?

Re: When the new rig arrives...
I ordered from Cyberpower That ^, and I decided not to get the OCing tool to go along with it because of AMD's Overdrive Utility. Realizing obviously that they limit how much I can do with that program, I'd have to learn more about bios to do it manually. I'm not too savy on any of those settings r...

Re: When the new rig arrives...
I'll still end up OCing it, but I won't have the time to spend doing that for atleast 5-6months possibly upwards of a year after I actually have it. Stupid scheduling and all with work keeps me crazy busy. Not to mention that before I start OCing I'll have to learn more about it as well. Don't want ...

When the new rig arrives...
what are the first steps I should take in ensuring everything is working well? I know I should open the case and make sure everything is seated well along with all the connections being well, connected. I have a feeling that there will be bloatware on it since I ordered from Cyberpower because I did...

From personal experience in the military, I would say that this officer is attempting to count. I find that when they have to think hard at all, they make very strange faces in a contorted and disfiguring manner.

Re: Cases!
The AZZA Solano 1000 is a awesome case for airflow that's right around that price range. Just so happens that Shane has already written a review about it here :) Here's the link: http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1044/1/ Also some prices from the Egg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Ite...

Re: Looking for PC Mfg'ers Recommendations
Very true, mine was not a "budget" build. But there is plenty of stuff on there that he most definitely doesn't need for a budget rig. I priced out all the pieces there individually and I couldn't get a better deal on them piece for piece than I could through the website, so I decided to g...

Re: Looking for PC Mfg'ers Recommendations
I've had pretty good success with Cyberpowerinc.com as well. They have decent prices, although the newer graphics card back-orders make it somewhat of a pain to order right now. I spent $1889 on my new rig from them, including shipping. They have some issues with customer service sometime, but they ...

Man, I'd really like to join but I don't even have my rig yet! That and I'll be gone more than 200 days out of the year
Really wish I could participate though! I'll most definitely still Fold once I get my rig, but I'll have to bow out of the competition

Re: My Rant on Motor Oil and Filters...
Hey! My 4 cylinder doesn't use hardly any oil between changes, but I only go 3,000 miles before i drain it. Strange... Everyone I know that has one uses a little bit of oil between changes. Heck, even my owners manual states that the engine uses a little bit of oil. :-k I've got an 01' Frontier and...

Re: Christmas - What Electronic/Gadget Do You Want?
Realistically (the tech exists) - New GPU (9800GX2 is going to start showing its age eventually, even at 1680x1050) - New dual 24" 1920x1200 monitors to go with new GPU - New secondary GPU for secondary monitors (seriously, a 7900GTX as a secondary card can get annoying) Unrealistic (tech does...

I'm afraid that I'm unable to answer that question Nate, meaning no disrespect of course. The dinner was excellent here though!
