So I was connected to our dial-up connection tonight. Our ISP is people PC, and we have to connect through the "Smart Dialer". Well, this smart dialer seems to be using up all of my ram. It doesn't use it all right away, but just slowly uses more and more. In the time it has taken me to log on, open up firefox, and get this sentence typed out, I have already gotten to 800,000 Kb of ram used.
So, is this a software compatibility issue with Vista 64? I have been using this same software since I built this computer with no problems until now. I can't seem to log in to the people PC website to see if there is a 64bit installer. I have already tried to reinstall the software, but I still get the same issue.
Now I am at 1.08 Mb of ram used.

Re: ISP software problems
Sounds like a memory leak. If it didn't do it before vista, it is probably a vista issue.
Erm, can you ring up the PeoplePC support and see if they can fix it for you?

Re: ISP software problems
It worked fine in my other vista machine, and fine up until last night.
I can end the process in the task manager and that takes care of the memory leak, but I just wanted some advanced warning incase I had something seriously wrong.
