Ram?
Ram?
Hi, Just a quick question about ram,I've got 4 ram slots on my MB.is it better to run 2 1gb modules in dual channel, or would it be better to use the 3 1gb modules, which I think will not run in dual channel mode, I've got 3 1gb modules of ddr2 800,any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.
Re: Ram?
Hmm, depends if the work you do on your PC will benefit more from the extra bandwidth or the extra RAM.
What sort of things do you do on your PC?
You could always just try it and see if it makes a noticeable difference either way.

Re: Ram?
Just from experience, I have two 1 gig sticks and my brother has one 2 gig stick. When using the computers, I cannot tell ANY difference(playing games, using apps, etc). The only difference is I get about 500mb/second read/write speeds more in benchmarks. Hope that helps!

Re: Ram?
Best would be for you to try it both ways and see what works best for you.....
