The fine is the highest ever imposed by the regulator and represents 4.15% of Intel's 2008 turnover. The U.S. chip maker immediately said it would appeal. The Commission is entitled to levy fines of up to 10% of a company's annual revenue.
They can cut that check without needing to borrow money, but they are appealing... Let's see what the appeal does.
